Ground game still doubling up

Dominic Rhodes did his part, then admitted he wasn't himself after teaming with rookie Joseph Addai to provide the Indianapolis Colts just enough rushing yards in Sunday's 17-16 home victory over Buffalo. Full Story

Don't worry Dominic, we still love ya baby.

ok, I've been on deployment for some time and only catch glances at the articles these days but has anyone pointed out that Addai is sporting the #29 once worn by Mr. Eric Dickerson? Mmmmm, another young and talented Back for grooming at "Colts Rushing U." I pray we don't make the same error we did with the last 3 (Dickerson, Faulk, Edge) and usher him out when he approaches HOF numbers.

Dominic knows his time is up. Cold or no cold. He's a lame duck and he knows it. It's unfortunate for him. But he is a very different running back now. Without "edge", There is no excuse for him. Addai, has the "down hill style this team needs to get those tough yards. Rhodes spins and darts with speed. But Addai has it all. He just gets to the sticks and delivers sticks......

Love Addai's burst and power when running but what's really jazzed me is his blocking...did you see what he did to Seau last week....tough little bulldog...glad he's on our side...and great attitude Dominic.

"I'm still here, baby," Rhodes said, as he exited.

Ending the article in that way makes it seem as if Dom was ticked about the lack of attention and that he was spouting off as he stormed out of the locker room.

Whats the context of that final statement? You seem wish to create stir where none exist!

It made me feel for Dom. He's been a Pro all year and has done his best for this team, doing whatever is asked. Runbacks, back-up, fill in, start, groom a new rookie. Absolutely anything they've asked of him and I'm damned proud of his attitude. It was probably the fumble and the rookie shine that had everyone over at Addai's locker. Otherwise, their games were nearly equal this week.

Like the first poster said, we still love ya, Dom. One class act, to be sure.

Let's just call this ground game "Dominic Addai". Two backs are better than one, anyday.

The Joseph is a gassed by now if Dominic is not in there starting. Joseph has had most of the second half carries when defenses usually give up more running yards. There is a long season ahead and we will need both running backs.

Keep your chin up Dom. You will get yours.

Nah, "Joseph Rhodes" sounds better, haha. I think later in the year, and the start of next year, we will see more Addai and less Rhodes. Dom has had a great attitude in helping Addai along, and whatever Dungy and Rhodes are doing seems to be working. Joe could be a long-term back with the Colts, like Edge and Faulk. Kudos to the Colts and the running game.
