'Our time'

Full story: The Indianapolis Star

Jeff Saturday provided the rallying cry during a team meeting the night before. "This is our time," the veteran center implored, his sky-blue eyes fixed and glistening, reaching into those of each teammate.

Thanks for the laugh. I love it when a Pats fan loses their grip with reality.
But, that's okay. Let them live in their dream world. Come Sunday, reality will set in.

The Colts upper management called and asked me to bring a boombox and a kerosene heater to the game Sunday. That way, after we kick your ACE for the 4th time in a row, you can have something to blame it on.
Did you see how the Pats defense wilted in the 4th quarter when they went down to warm Miami?

Crank up the heat!!

Your time is over.

Do you realize that Richard Seymour, Rodney Harrison, Junior Seau, Adalius Thomas, Brandon Meriweather, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Donte Stallworth and Kyle Brady didn't play in the AFC Championship game last year? They'll be on the field Sunday.

The Dolts two new cornerbacks are good against the run, but weak against the pass. That's why the Dolts pass defense is ranked 26th in opposing quarterbacks' completion percentage.(Patriots are 6th.) That's also why the Dolts defense is 28th in defensive 3rd down efficiency.(Patriots are 1st.)

And the Pats special teams are WAY better than the Dolts.

Final Score: Patriots 38, Dolts 24 -- and that's being kind.

Indy fans, review that game and think long and hard about the upcoming game.
You can't really think the Dolts have a chance against the Patriots, can you?

So Bob Sanders is going to cover three Patriots WRs?*L*

Let's suppose for the sake of argument he does - who is going to be stopping the run?

__________

The Washington Redskins had the #4 defense in the league coming into last week's game. Look at the offenses the Dolts have played.

I am going to enjoy this game very, very much.

Here are just a few reasons for optimism:

On Offense
The Colts rank #1 in the league in rushing TD’s. That means they can play grind it out, smash mouth football.“Finesse” is a myth.
The Colts rank #1 in the league in the Cold Hard Football Facts’ Offensive Hog Index, and #1 in Negative Pass Plays (pass plays that end in either a sack or interception).
http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/Articles...

On Defense
The Colts rank #1 in the league in fewest yards allowed per passing attempt (5.31 ypa)
The Colts are tied for #1 in the league in fewest passing TD’s allowed (5).
If you take the ratio of interceptions (9) to passing TD’s allowed, Indy ranks #1 in that category with 1.8 interceptions for every passing TD allowed.
Indy also ranks #1 in turnover differential, at +11.
(While NE also has a TO differential of +11, they’ve played one more game to achieve that total.)

Go Horse!

Yeah, I saw Miami throw up 28 points with New England's starting D on the field. But I guess the Dolphin O is on a par with the Colts. NOT!!
Boy, that certainly was proved yesterday!
