Goodell's Justice Iron-Fisted

Goodell's Justice Iron-Fisted

There are 6 comments on the Dallas Cowboys story from Sep 5, 2007, titled Goodell's Justice Iron-Fisted. In it, Dallas Cowboys reports that:

“At no time did I think I was doing anything illegal or against league policy. It was my decision, and I'm paying the price.”

In Roger Goodell's New NFL, Michael Vick must have swallowed hard on Saturday. Maybe didn't even get that big gulp down. via Dallas Cowboys

My only concern about Goodell is that he who shows no mercy will receive no mercy. As a diabetic I would love to obtain a medication which can help control my diabetes. Was Wilson wrong for seeking such a medication? Goodell's actions may be cruel. He should walk carefully. Remember he who shows no mercy will recieve no mercy. He has not show evidence of any mercy. I hope it nerver occurs where he or someone in his family or a friend needs mercy. Maybe he should consider his actions and the hardness of his heart.

Okay. I guess we just forget about Michael Vick and proceed to business as usual. Again, another "poor baby he just made a mistake" person. Whatever. This is a grown man with wealth, privilege, and a college education. Pleading ignorance is ridiculous. All you have to do is watch a dog fight and you should know it is wrong - unless you are some sort of sadist. Mercy can be given if a person is truly sorry. I don't think Michael Vick gets it. The NFL cannot condone this type of violence. Forgiveness is wonderful, but it has to be earned. A slap on the wrist and the excuse about league policy is not acceptable. What about the tortured, mutilated and dead dogs? Again, the victim does not count. I guess I can do whatever I want and say I am sorry and go merrily on my way. It's nice to know you will defend me. MMM......

I agree Joey Harrington should be given a change, but don't beat one man down in oder to build up another one. You might be in for a surprise. but he will neve never be a winner.

Good catch there Barberry. Sometimes the bible thumpers and apologists forget that their catchy little phrases can be turned right around.

And I'm with you. He should be shown just as much "mercy" as he showed those defenseless dogs.
