NFL willing, Pacman gamble might pay off in my opinion

There are 6 comments on the www.topix.net story from Mar 27, 2008, titled NFL willing, Pacman gamble might pay off in my opinion. In it, www.topix.net reports that:

Pacman Fever? Fortunately, I've had my flu shots.

But if the Dallas Cowboys really, truly, all-due-diligently believe that Adam 'Pacman' Jones is worth the gamble, they shouldn't let local public opinion sway them.

My informed public opinion included.

By all accounts -- and there are a lot of accounts to read, if you've got the time and the Web site addresses -- Pacman Jones is a 24-year-old cornerback/punk who won't, or can't, stay out of trouble. His brushes with the law have earned him a one-year suspension by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Read more

Funny, 32 teams in the league and only one of them is trying to get this bum, I hope the Cowboys get him and he spreads his cancer throughout their locker room. Remember Jerry's back in complete control, can those 5 and 11 seasons be far behind?

Being a Packer fan, I can't say anything 'too nice' about the 'Boys', but I'll give an opinion on one thing. I don't envy you Dallas fans or any of the Dallas coaches for having to put up with Jerry Jones constant meddling and side-line pacing. And you're right; with Parcells gone, Jerry is back in the saddle...

I'm not a Pacman fan and wouldn't mind if the Boys pass on him. But that being said, he has proved to be a better than average corner and return man. Both things the Cowboys need. If they set him up with performance based contract at little cost, the there's not much of a gamble involved. If he works out...they get a high quality player (not person) for little cost...If he doesn't then there's not much lost. Oh..and as far as Jerry being back in control...He was back in control THIS year when they went 13-3.

You forget, Parcells stuck around to help in the transition. This year it's all Jerry, watch this moron move up to take McFaddin, because he's from Arkansas, when he's not even the best RB on the board.
