Stuart Schweigert does suck!! They need to move Huff to FS and have Jarrod Cooper as SS. Jarrod Cooper is a savage on the field. Remember when he filled in for Derrek Gibson in 05? Cooper made some big plays for us....

Stuart Schweigert does not suck. I would know that because he was playing football with my cousin when they were in high school that I go this year. He is really good.

Schweigert needs to be better placed. You guys can't have one of the best pass coverages one year, and then blame a soggy defense on one player. Your guys' coaches suck. You have a safety that can keep up with some of the best receivers, and you can't be heavy set and do that. Schweigert isn't big, but he is fast. It seems like the coaching staff forgot how to run a good defense. Fire them, and you'll get your team back.

The problem with people that make these dumb comments is that they don't really understand the game and how oakland ran thier defense in 07. Exactly..cover 2!!! It's the front 7's job to really stop the run, the safety is left to clean up thier mess!! The last line of defense. 1 on 1 with the best rb's, even the best safeties in the league aren't always going to make the tackle. Look at Sean Jones, God rest his soul, missed plenty of tackles. Check the stats on other safeties and you'll see! Ryan's defense was so simple to read by the opponents b/c he basically ran the same schemes every play. To say that schweigert sucks is too harsh considering that he was third on the team last year in tackles which says a lot for a safety. What that means for those how don't know in that those linebackers and linemen don't do thier job. yes they got a lot of pics this year but for anyone who really understands the game, you know that they made wayyyy too many mistakes and it's easy to put the blame on schweigert because he IS the last line of defense. The blame can not fairly be put on schweigert for the defenses poor showing this season. look at all the missed reads, checks, and blocks up front! Rob ryan apparently forgot how to coach. He returned 11 starters from 06. 07 should have been an improvement. you don't go from the level of play of 06 to 07 with virtually the same players if you know what you're doing. schweigert works his butt off, he is fast, he is a smart player, and hussles more than anyone on the team. It would be better for him to play on a team that has a defensive co-ordinator that knows how to call a defense and knows how to use a safety with his ability. The raiders are messed up on all sides of the ball and i bet that a lot of their good players, like schweigert, could really make a mark in the NFL if they were on teams with management that's not going crazy and coaches that knew what they were doing! Kiffin did a good job this year, too bad AL wouldn't let him fire Ryan. this team isn't going to the play offs until AL steps out and lets his staff make the calls.
