I hate preseason. The only thing this game proved is our starting QB needs to complete more than 50% of his passes. And that our scrubs out play their scrubs. They had a nice drive in the beginning but still for all the points we put up I am not impressed nor did this game give me any sense of confidence. I will say Wimbley impressed me...4 sacks...that's fantastic. Last week it was Houston who had 2 sacks...if we get a different starter doing that every game that will be a big up for our defense.

Stevie Brown is showing some consistancy, with a pick 2 games in a row, so there is no reason for him not to make the team ahead of Hiram Eugene or Michael Huff. Those guys have been around for 4 years each and neither ever had a preseason pick and they combine for a total of 5 career picks.

Don't forget about Matt Shaughnessey who also had 2 sacks against the the Blue Stars of Shame's first team OL. What impresses me is that when opponents double up on one guy that the free man takes advantage. That's the kind of balance we've been lacking and it's good to see us regain that balance. I'm impressed with the defense.

Offense is another story. They still have a lot to prove.

I'm shooting for sometime during week 4 of the preseason. We currently have 11 teams so we pretty much have to wait until we have 12. I do have somebody lined out that wants to play so its pretty much a matter of when he signs up.

Nice showing from the Raiders, that Kimbley guy is good, reminds me of Dumervil from Denver. I think that Campbell will settle down your offense when you get your other guys back. Good luck to your team.

Good luck to Da Bears as well this season! Your team is my second favorite NFL team to follow, as Izzy Idonije hails from our hometown. Some of my buddies coached him in high school. His Mom convinced him to play, as he only wanted to play basketball at the time.

I LIKED THE GAME! but then again misterio likes all RAIDER games (lol). yeah meaningless preseason but the thing here is the pro's have to tune up to their pro level. i was thinking about that yesterday while watching the replay of the game. and when i saw some backups play almost better than the starters, i was thinking wow. this guy could easily be the starter if a starter gets injured. so the backups have to tune up to play like the pro's. it's good for everybody even the fans. we have to tune ourselfs for a good football year. i doubt there will be much dissapointment this year. i think we all know we wont go to no (sb) but just the fact that we need to get over this seven year losing streak is good. at least an 8-8 season would boost our football confidence that we are back.
PRE-SEASON: MEANINGLESS BUT HELPFULL!
RAIDERS 2010!!!
