Troy Smith baby! Time to mold this guy into the next Vick! These guys just aren't used to an offense that moves more than 5 yards. Bye Bye slant routes and 3 yard runs! I am eager to see what we have this year!

I like Troy Smith alot the Ravens have tried Boller before didn't work you have to give Smith a shot . The thing is if Matt Ryan is there in the draft should the Ravens take him.

It's a lock that the Ravens draft a QB high and then Smith plays well enough that the high pick doesn't see the field, just like the Brees-Rivers and Anderson-Quinn situations.

Here's hoping.

The last thing we need is a Michael Vick!

Its Troy Smith time to shine.
he is going to be a star rather its with the ravens or not. this guys has the tools to be a great nfl staring qb boller is a good back up but thats it.
i would like the ravens to wait awhile and draft a qb in the later rounds. like a Denis Dixon. he would have been a first round pick if it was not from braking his leg. and the guy will recover and be a good nfl qb. i just dont see why the ravens should waste early rounds on a Qb when they need CB, OL , WR alot more

Kyle would do fine with a great front line to protect him. Unfortunately the Ravens have an average front line at blocking for him. Troy can scramble which will help his game. This years team should not call either one their #1 QB at the start. After 8 games we all will know who is the man (if there is one).

Exactly^ Hey Vick was decent before he starting burning up dogs. Troy looks like a playmaker. Boller is a turnover-machine.

Joe Flacco is the way to go. Wait and see. He is the man the Ravens are going to grab. Bring the Delaware Destroyer to Baltimore

This is really exciting. The new coaches, the new offense, and the uncertainty at QB is really pushing the guys harder than ever. I imagine whoever lines up behind center this year is going to be much-improved over last year...even Kyle.

Harbaugh let the cat out of the bag when he said rookie QB in this years draft. I agree let them all fight it out and see what QB wins the job. What's up with McAlister and Rolle missing mini camp? New coach, new system and players choosing not to come in. That means that they will be behind the rest of the team.

That's fine. If they don't wanna show their team spirit like Ray or Terrell or Ed are doing, then guess what? They don't need to. They can just as easily be put in the second string, for the way they both played last season. Don't get me wrong, we generally WERE better off when they were healthy, but sh*t, McAlister especially was still getting bomb after bomb thrown over him into the end zone, BEFORE he got injured.

I love McAlister, but he needs to show up for the rest of the minicamps, this team needs to ALL be on the same f*cking page.

P.S. Boller will be the starter, mark my words.

No, Vick always was a terrible QB, this fact being disguised by his terrific athletic ability. Athlete yes, QB never. He was/is terrible.

Mr. Harbaugh,
Please do not start Kyle "happy-feet" Boller. He never sets his feet, he is a nervous as a jack rabbit and he hasn't proven he can lead a team. Let's see what we have in Troy Smith.

Vick? The most overrated QB in the league the past few years. You have no idea about football. Name a running QB like a Vick who ever won a Super Bowl. There is only one - Steve Young. And Boy Troy is no Steve Young. Learn something about football before you make stupid posts.

you think the ravens would have learned their lesson when they drafted boller and threw him to the wolves. no matter who they select for their future qb , he must sit and learn for at least one year. if they try to start a rookie he may lose any confidence he has by starting right away. the game is so much more complicated and faster than college any rookie needs a little time to observe.
