Stadium full of memories at age 10

Full story: Baltimore Sun 48
It seemed a rare and perfect opportunity to take revenge on history. Twenty-three years after the Colts had abandoned Baltimore, they were on their way back for a playoff game. Full Story

What about Joe Washington (#33), The miracle on 33rd St. and "Shake and Bake". If Colts would of persuaded Elway to come to Baltimore - they would of won more , got a new stadium and still be in Baltimore!

It's kinda like the situation they just had up here with the Sonics. They moved the damn team to Oklahomo but wanted keep the history and 1979 championship tied to the newly named OKC Thunderfarts. I was 14 when the Colts left, that was devastating, after years of Washington Deadskin propaganda I long to have a team in B-More. Eventhough I live in Seattle now I been a Ravens fan since they move from Cleveland. Went home a couple a years ago and saw M&T and thought it as awesome. If in your in Seattle check out Qwest Field it is a great stadium too.
the Seattle Stadiums are cold, dreary and uncomfortable and I have not even started to talk about the weather. The Camden Yards complex puts it to shame. That's just the way it is. I am sorry, Seattle is not what it's cracked up to be. It rains too much and in the summer you're lucky if it ever hits 80F. Like the commercial says, "it rains and then it rains some more".

total speculation. Elway could have been a flop due to poor coaching (God knows we had that at the time) and misdirected by a foolish owner. The only reason a new stadium was built in the first place, is because the move woke up the politicians to the possibility of the O's moving. They started thinking differently then. Same result had Elway come to B-more, IMO

I can still remember when Elway came as a starter for Denver in 1983. 50,000 fans booing him and Steve DeBerg had to finish the game...and then Colts go to Denver take a 19-0 lead only to lose 21-19.

Go BALTIMORE Colts!

So I'm supposed to shed a tear or two because the stadium that sucked all of my tax dollars away which meant that O'Malley now had to confiscate even MORE of my money is now ten freakin' years old?? I'm proud to say I've never set foot in the place. I'd like my money back asap. And please, whoever is in charge of such matters - check out the Ravens players closely for criminal activity since they "historically" have demonstrated a propensity for it. I'll shed a tear when it's announced that the thugs on the team are in jail where they belong.
Might want to check your facts, buddy. The only money they sucked from the state was from the lottery .. they have not taken any tax money.

I am not going to dis PDX(Portland) because there is a possiblity of me moving there. Safeco is kinda cold and unappealing but Qwest is a far better looking stadium. In spite of Clay Clay moving the Sonics- Key Arena is not bad either. Hopefully the new Baltimore arena will be cool to go along with the Yard and M&T. Maybe B-more will get a NBA or NHL team so we can beat D.C.. Nobody roots for the Wizards and Capitals in Baltimore anyway.
