just a theory, but it's quite possibly a result of our horratious line... theyre so bad that i just had to make up a word to describe how bad they were... and let's not forget that the Pats have arguably the best front 7 in the NFL... and regardless of all of these facts, he too gets a free pass considering it was his first NFL action

Again....

Boller will start.

Smith will HOPEFULLY continue to improve and become a solid backup.

And Flacco....is never going to be "ready to take over". Sorry.

Ravens Fluke Is Bollers Mother...... Truth Is The Product Of inbreeding And Kevin/ Harry is a definte 5150.....In my next life I want to come back as Kyle Boller, Matt Mullen Or Rex Grossman So I can Continue To stink and still have idiots support and worship me no matter how consistently sorry I am.

I think Boller should be the starter, but Smith finally gets a chance lets see what he can do. So, many fans are calling for 2nd yr player, Smith to be the starter are they also saying that Ozzie made a mistake in trading back up to draft Flacco? There were a bunch of Qbs available this yr that could have been had in later rds and if Smith wins the starting job as a 2nd yr QB why did we need to trade back up to draft Flacco?
Apparently, Ozzie didn't feel that either Boller in the last yr of his contract, or Smith were the long term answer! But, Ozzie has never been able to judge Qb talent and one wonders how big of a project Flacco is going to be coming out of Div 111?
Wonder if Chad Pennington can come in and manage the games for us, play not to lose football?
Or will Boller completing 73% of his passes be good enough?
I agree. Boller did have a decent game. But, if he is the one. Why can't he flat out beat a 2nd year player who has less experience? He still has the problem of protecting the ball regardless of completing 73% of his passes. Smith keeps going regardless of what anyone says about him and there will be some games where you can't be Billick conservative (Last year Miami) when you have to go outside the box. Smith gives you that. Let the chips roll and the competition play out. Whoever wins they will have someone biting at their heels. I didn't mention Flacco at this point for a reason, let him develop.

Based on last night's game, it appears like a tie for last between Smith and Boller, with Flaccid offically putting himself on the sidelines for the near future.
Neither guy was terrible, and neither was particularly good. But Kyle is incapable of improving, while Troy is. So that settles it for me.
Fang......are y0u this stupid or do you just see what you want to see.....Boller was ok and Smith was terrible......bottom line......wake up!

The "Truth" is that you nothing more than a "KEYBOARD THUG". Have you ever tried rebutting someone's point without resorting school yard antics?......... Now if fumbles were the fault of poor offensive lines then it would be a trackable statistic. Since they don't it is the quarterback's responsibility to hold on to the ball. That is why they get credited with WINS and LOSES.
..mainly because idiots like you are a disease in here and rebutting with facts goes in one ear and out the other.......bottom line is, you are a douche and an idiot...just because something is not a "traceable statistic" means nothing......sacks were not a "traceable statistic" for years.....also your last statement makes no sense.....holding on to the ball being tied to wins and losses makes no sense whatsoever.......which proves why I comment the way I do....because you are too mentally feable and ignorant to put together a coherent thought.......

You're quite the pleasant fellow, aren't you, bud? I noticed that you are always a ray of sunshine in here.

The two guys were pretty much similar and although Kyle may have moved the team a bit more, Troy had zero turnovers to two. The case for either is not yet known, although I'd go with Troy if given the choice, hands down.

Still, i the interest of fairness, one thing that hasn't been discussed is Kyle's impressive timeout with three seconds on the play clock and the team lined up incorrectly. Time management is critical in a good QB and Kyle has not had that before, so kudos to him for that.

Still, when play resumed, AD stripped the ball from him for a fumble, so so much for time management.

I guess the Patriots should have "layed down" and let the Offense run a play or two and get thier timing on que.

What a stupid article that was.

you really are unbelievable......they were not "pretty much similar". I think you need to go take another look at the completion percentage stat my friend.

Also, Smith should have had 2 picks and if he had been playing against the first team he would have.

Another good point, Kyle was playing against first string......Smith was not....another point to consider when you say they "pretty much similar"..they were not sorry.....

but, we shall see this week.

Hey dumba&&, first of all.....a fumble with poor protection isn't 100% the fault of the QB....also, it is pre-season......give it time.......and last I checked, we did draft a QB in the first round.....I think anyway......right???
Wait, so since it's the preseason, we should only give KYLE the benfit of the doubt and not Troy? Hypocrite much?
