UF is THE team of the future.

9 freshman start on the defense - 17 on the team overall. The trip to KY was only the 3rd road trip in life for 35 team members.

What a joke that Ohio State is #1. They would barely survive a couple of weeks in the SEC.

And BC - please.

The reality is that the SEC crown is more important then the BCS silliness. That is a made-for TV junket designed to keep the cash flowing to undeserving big Ten (they can't even count in that league) and Pac Ten schools. Add the school in South bend to that list.

We are watching history when you look at the SEC today. Tuberville, Richt, Saban, Fulmer, Spurrier, Brooks, Meyer, et al. The colllection of the best coaches in the land.

In the end, the SEC, ACC, Big East a couple of other leagues need to bail; out of the BCS and form their onw championship. If the Big Ten and Pact Ten want to joiin - fine. if not - who really cares.

And without a doubt - UF is THE team to watch over the coming seasons. Meyer is to be believed. This is a new era - a time for the ages for SEC fans. How amazing.

Question for Gator fans. The "Tebow leap", is that something new or did he get it from somewhere? It's a brilliant move, like a basketball player elevating for a jump shot, I've just never seen it before in football.

I'm a long time Gator fan and glad to see a big win last night against a very good Kentucky team.

Kentucky brings honor to their team and state by paying tribute to Michael Guilford before the start of the game.

Note Kentucky is senior heavy and loses Woodson while Gators are young and still building. If Tebow and team continues to win he should get the Heisman. Seven SEC teams in the to 20 and Ohio State may not play a top 25 team. They're #1 ????

Hey Ty...don't be so hard on the ONLY Canes fan alive and well in the State of Florida. He's the only one that shows up to their games! While it is true Miami owns the UF/UM Series, most FANS never wanted that series to end. I'd like to play Miami every year. I mean, it's getting a little boring beating up on big powerhouse FSU lately.. I love how all these teams continue to dismiss the SEC. Kentucky/Vandy could beat anybody in the "Big LEAST" nowadays! And big 10? PUH-LEASE!!! I can only HOPE LSU wins out and plays the Ohio St. weenies in the Championship game. This house will go from Orange and Blue to Purple and Gold in 3 secs flat!! GO SEC!!

Congratulations on not being able to defend your championship this season. You're just another two loss team going nowhere.

It is nearly impossible to defend. Unless of course you are the Big 10 or the ACC. Playing in a real conference like the SEC makes it twice as hard. I will take the winner of the SEC over any of the BCS NC foes. You really wish you were a Gator don't you?

preston2 the jump pass is a throwback to chicago bears hall of famer bronko nagurski, they used that play a lot back in the 1930's. as for canes fans hey are the worst in the state. the most fairweather , horrible stadium and guess what no NC's coming anytime soon. thats what happens once you joined a real confererence. i love how this is a rebuilding year and it looks like we have a decent shot at the going to atlanta. next 2 years should be even better!!!

Thanks for the info. I'm surprised that play isn't used more often, especially with taller QBs.

About the dumbest sh-t I ever heard and of course from a Gayturd fan. You'd rather be an SEC champ than a National Champ. My God, r-tards from across the Globe are laughing at that dumb sh-t. You really wish you didn't write that, don't you?
Actually, your post is some of the dumbest garbage I've ever heard. Of course the Gators have to defend their SEC championship first - that game is played in early December.. And if I'm not mistaken, no one has played in this years' national title game yet, have they?

Conratulations on beating Kentucky. But it is Kentucky after all. You're obviously heavily intoxicated by this "huge win"--with all of your Urban and SEC hype and how great the Gators are and will be. Let's see... when UM started regularly kicking Gator backside, they ran away like little b####ES. Don't feel bad, so did the "Fighting Irish" and Penn State. Then UM played the Gators 2 years in a row. The 'Canes kicked their a$$ in the "swamp" and beat 'em in the OB --back to back. We know you're better than UM now. But everything waxes and wanes. Still, this comment that the Gators are world beaters and the SEC is unbeatable (which is the same crap the 'Canes heard for years after the Gators ran) was PROVEN wrong in head to head competition which is all that really matters.
Wow, that's pretty good - have you been holding in all that smack since 1987, seeing that you cant seem to talk about anything else? Try coming into this century first. But then again, it must be painful for you to watch the U decline into irrelevance. Keep talkin smack though, the Gators will be happy to slap around the U next year up in Gainesville. I'm guessing the U will be strong off their victory in the Boise Bowl again, if they make it that far this year. Then again, in that powerhouse All Cupcakes Conference, anything is possible.

sorry your canes suck so bad this year...and it doesnt look like things are getting any better. you have zero talent on that team and zero coming in. you know you made the wrong choice in shannon over butch davis.
Nice retort. As usual Gators ignore the facts.
