No more waiting: Quinn will get his big chance in Browns' opener

Full story: Columbus Dispatch

There are times when Brady Quinn must feel as if he's still at the 2007 NFL draft in New York, sitting for hours in a room offstage, waiting for someone to call his name.

I was there. Quinn was hanging around with a bunch of drunk frat boys and one of them said something after a drunk twink from Union started acting foolish.

Quinn didn't show any leadership skills that night, but I don't know if he's a gay hater. He is a cutie though. I wouldn't mind showing him the ropes if he ever wants to explore the little queen that lives in all of us.

Quinn lost any support from me when he campaigned for John McCain. Here is a word of advice Mr. Quinn-athletes are meant to be seen on the field not heard. Also, check the city you play for-it is a working class city with deep democratic roots.

Yeah, God forbid a pro athlete would have different political beliefs than you.

That is not the point, I have said the same thing about athletes who speak out on Dem issues as well (who share my beliefs). But, hey, I guess that doesn't matter to you since you make up your mind before knowing all the facts.
Nice try

Good luck Brady and stay confidant and focused, you will eventually take the Browns fans to levels they have only been able to dream about. Oh yeah one more thing, if you ever read any of these comment sections, just skim over the non-athletic, political, etc. etc. comments as they are totally useless!!

I think the Browns have made the right choice in Brady Quinn. We finally have a potential franchise quarterback that new coach Mangini can build and draft around.
This will be a tough year. I hope fans are patient. I know that's asking a lot after the last 10 years. However, I truly think this rebuilding effort will work.
GO BROWNS!!!

Again, your psychic powers overwhelm me. You should take it on the road and make some money with that mind reading you got-Ms. Cleo would be proud.

-peace out

I don't let a person's personal beliefs in his/her political choices deflect from my recognizing a leader that's good for the Browns.
Quit frankly, I voted for Obama. But the way I see it, in the end run, we all are Amerians that just happen to have differing views on who the leadership should be. It's a great thing that we have those choices.
Brady Quinn is no different than any of us who wants to volunteer his time to help his candidate. I was not a McCain supporter at all. However, I respect the man for his service to his country and that he too, is an American. An American hero wounded in combat and taken prisoner. But again, he didn't get my vote for the job he wanted.
With that said, I hope Brady proves to be that QB we've been looking for for a long time. If he does prove to be that guy, we truly have something we can build on with optimism moving forward.
GO BROWNS!!!

A dispatch writer wrote a Browns story? What happened to lifting stories from the plain dealer?

I can`t wait until my Steelers get a shot at Brady. Even better will be watching A.J. Hawk get a chance to have a family reunion with him on a Sunday afternoon.
