I was also impressed with the NBC camera work for this game, a refreshing change from the typical live event coverage from this network. Great job in production and on the field.

How about the "Mike'd Up" show on Channel 4. The guy comes on at 12:30 in the morning and tells us what happened in the Super Bowl. I'm pretty sure anybody who doesn't know what happened in the Super Bowl by 12:30 doesn't care either. He must be trying to fill the void for old news left by the "George Michael Sports Machine."

Francesa is a parody of himself these days. But we all know that Sports Popes never retire.
We'll have to wait many years before white smoke appears above WFAN.
BTW Michaels and Madden were at their best Sunday night. Probably #3 in a list of all-time SB announcers, behind Pat Summerall and Madden ... and yes old Jets fans ... Curt Gowdy and Al De Rogatis.

a 50 inch TV screen isn't big enough to suit Al Michaels ego.

Did you notice that Al Michaels is standing on a box whenever they show him and Madden together.

Most successful people have big egos. Never noticed that?
