Minnesota Vikings 2012: Final Thoughts of the 23-20 Loss to the Colts

Sep 16, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: BleacherReport

What an ugly performance from the Vikings . While the team was outplayed on both sides of the ball, there was still a chance for the to pull out a sneaky victory for a second straight week.

Same stinky offense as last year.Harvin killing himself,Rudolph and Adrian Peterson.Where are John Carlson,Burton,Aromashodu,Wrig ht and Jenkins. Is it Ponder or the recievers?Peterson could get more yards running if we passed more.No sense of urgency until the last five minutes of the game. Now for the defense ,missed tackles,no pass rush aside from Allen, penalties.I just dont see us improving, just more of the same. How can all the other teams find receivers?Simpson isnt going to right this ship.

Preface to explaing the issue: AP is great.

I think AP is wonderful. 25 rushes for 165 every week would be keen. But its a fantasy-points-passing-league.

AP is one dimensional. He cannot catch or pass block. He does not want a FB in front of him. He has to come out on passing downs.

So....AP in........its a run. AP out.....its a pass, maybe a Harvin run.

Other teams know this. Its been 5 years now that even rubes like me, watching on my grainy B&W TV can predict.

Again.....AP is great. But his presence or absence telegraphs every play.

The good news is McNabb isn't there anymore and Frazier has you firmly in the hunt for a coveted high draft pick

We can scheme to change things, like a TE as a FB, then go in motion. Throw on ANY down. However, this is trickery and Frazier, Musgrave wouldn't like that. We gotta be macho, we WILL run the ball, our guys WILL beat your guys...NOT!! You hit the nail on the head....please do the same to Musgrave but use a mallet.

Now that the easy part of the vikings schedule is over we will see what kind of team we have.

The loss to the Colts was enough to see what kind of team this is...

Its sad and stupid that Childress wrecked this team. You know what $100 million can buy? Two number one WRs, a shutdown corner and a decent LB and enough money leftover to pick up a RB on waivers.

I like Petersen but that contract was/is a disaster.
