Bad decision Romeo. Brady Quinn had the nest game last week. He deserves to start exhibition game 3. He's the future of the Browns.

I have to question if Romeo Crennel is qualified to be a NFL Head Coach?

When the bye week arrives, and unless the Browns are .500 or better (not enough coffee yet) - then get Quinn solid experience for the last 10 games of the season in order to prepare him for '08 and beyond.

Charlie Frye is without question the worst QB in the history of the NFL. Yet because he went to Akron were suppossed to sit here and act like he's respectable. The guy sucks and we know what we have with him. They should at least give someone else, ANYONE ELSE a chance to start the opener.

Romeo
Get rid of the stupid coach you have for the QB and let them call their own plays.
They call the same plays all the time, we have a bet to see who was right on the play. I win alot on that.
Everyone wants the best for Cleveland, and the QB couch is not it.
Romeo give us a winning team this year (ya right).

Did you ever think that maybe Romeo is giving Frye the start to get him more snaps to make him more attractive for a possible trade. Atlanta desperately needs a QB and might be willing to deal for someone like Charlie who has NFL experience.

Time to correct a mistake and fire Romeo.

Frye is terrible. The decision is terrible.

Quinn has nothing to learn from watching Frye.

If they were showcasing Frye for a potential trade, they certainly wouldn't let him on the field.

Even if they trade Frye or DA, what are we going to get in return? Maybe a warm 6 pack of PBR. They were trying to trade them durning the draft and there were no takers then. Do you think their value has gone up after two half @ss performances against two crappy defenses playing vanilla schemes?

Romero needs to get his head out of his @ss, stop trying to be the nice guy, and make decisions that are right for the team. If he wants to start Frye than do it. Say he is the starter, the competition is over. This is the 3rd Preseason Game. WE NEED TO PICK A FRIGGIN STARTER ALREADY!!!

Anyone that does not believe Brady should start from here on out is just not thinking clearly. You will learn nothing from watching Frye or Anderson from the sidelines. If the Browns were expected to be playoff contenders I could see sitting him down for a year or so but they are not. What do we have to lose? Last year for Crennel!!

I do think their value has gone up for a team like Atlanta.

Even with our big question mark at quarterback, I still predict that this team will be the surprise of the NFL and will go 10-6 this year and will even possibly land a playoff spot. I would like to see us go with Quinn as the starter from game one, but if we do go with Frye, he's not going to be as bad as everyone here thinks he'll be. Chud just needs to let him roll out more and throw on the run, which is his strength. He's not a pure pocket-passer, so there's no use forcing him to be one. I just hope he cuts down the crucial 4th quarter mistakes.

Romeo will be fired during week seven of this season. The Browns will go on to hire another head coach with NO experience. It is what they do and nobody does it better. I defy you to name another NFL team that has gone as many years without hiring a coach with experience than the Browns have!

How come no one is even mentioning Ken
Dorsey? According to Bernie, he is the smartest out of all of them anyway. He played better than Frye and Anderson..if anything, keep Frye, Dorsey, and Quinn....trade Anderson while they still can.

One more thing. Charlie Frye has the physical skills to play QB in the pros. What he doesn't have is the smarts. Charlie is a decent kid but he's as dumb as a box of rocks. Check out Charlie's interviews. Charlie talks more like he's from the streets of the east side of Cleveland than from Willard. He certainly doesn't speak like a college graduate. List to an interview with Quinn. He sounds articulate and intelligent. He sounds like he went to college...and graduated. Frye is a slow thinker and slow thinkers don't make very good pro QB's.

Remember there was another young QB they said was dumber than a box of rocks. He was a kid from Louisiana Tech who had whomped the sox off the Zips in the Grantland Rice Bowl. Yep, it took him a couple years to catch on in the pros. He threw a lot of bad passes and didn't seem to get it. Lots of folks wanted to unload him. Yeah, we remember. It was Terry Bradshaw.

I'm with you, Zippy. The kid's tough, and he's playing under some very tough conditions. Maybe now that the coin-flippin' has stopped we can play some flippin' ball - and pay more attention to performance of the other 20+ starters, and some coaches too.
