Jim
You don't get out much do you?
We are in the AFC South. The AFL went out years ago.
You have to have Faith Tony and the Boys will pull us through. Remeber befor Peyton when we had the likes of Mike Pagel Mark Herrman Jeff George. Do you remember the days when you couldn't find a Brown Paper bag anywhere in the 6 county area. You put too much heart into this thing.
Worry about more important things in life. Let sports take care of itself

In 2001 a 6th round draft choice named...Tom Brady replaced an injured Drew Bledsoe,(the highest paid player in the NFL)he then lead the Patriots to the first of 3 Superbowls.

Hopefully we will never know if Matt Cassel can lead the Patriots to a Superbowl. I'm not so sure I would throw around certanties like you though!

What are you smokin?
So , if Brady gets hurt.....then their backup Matt Cassel would be able to lead them to the Super Bowl.
Yea, keep following the Pacers buddy.

You've got to be kidding. Did you not see that Redskins game? With Cassel at the helm the Pats would barely make the playoffs.

So, you can determine a players worth by one interception. I guess Manning is done and Sorgi should be named the starter.

All I'm saying is that WE don't know. You certainly have no idea how Matt Cassel would perform as a starter, nor do I, just as we didn't when Brady took over for Bledsoe.

You may be right, but I'm basing my opinion on his past performances going all the way back to college.

He's been a backup ever since he left high school. Yes, I know he played behind 2 Heisman Trophy winners, but he was supposed to be the starter the year Palmer graduated and was beat out by Leinhart.

His pro experience has been ignominious, at best:

2005 - in a loss to SD he went 2-4-15yds and 1 INT

2005 - in a 28-26 loss to Miami, played 3 quarters, threw 2 TDs and was sacked for a safety

2007 - second pass against Miami was intercepted and returned for a TD.

2007 - 2-3 against Washington for 28 yards and an INT.

I could be wrong, Pioli drafted him for a reason. I just don't see the upside to him. He hasn't done anything to make me believe he is starter material.

I feel the same way about Sorgi.

Not only that, but they will probably be forced to switch to pink uniforms, the entire special teams unit will come down with leukemia, and the offensive line will have to move into a homeless shelter and get jobs painting white lines on the highway
