"Despite underwhelming seasons from highly paid players such as wide receiver Bernard Berrian ($3.9 million salary in 2011) and safety Madieu Williams ($5.4 million), the Vikings don't have plans to reduce the current roster."

That is very disappointing, my confidence in Spielman just took a hugh hit. When he says McKinnie will also be retained, all faith will be all gone in him as a GM.

This team needs to rebuild now. Trade some of those aging vets and stockpile draft picks. It will suck for a few years, but hopefully it will pay off in the long run.

With that being said, I know the Vikes won't do it. Like a lot of teams, they have that fanatasy that they still can make a run at the playoffs.

Wait and see.

Fans will miss seeing Brett Favre on the sidelines picking his nose and scratching his nuts.

Have they talked to Bus Cook yet? We need Favre to come back.

It will be very interesting if/when the Vikings leave Minnesota. If they do, MN will have no football team. That being said, Judge Dorty will have a hard time giving his support to the Union members when MN doesn't even have a team.

be nice to see these guys get cut or traded. berrian and williams have been useless for the most part. when they even play. Mckinney never was all that great and didnt get better until we signed Hutch. think we also need to trade down in the draft if there isnt anyone we must have at 12.

Spielman said his comment was etched in oatmeal. That means he's not dumping them until he has the holes filled with someone he thinks is better.

That should not be too hard. I hope those three..M. Williams, Berrian and McKinney are replaced pronto, either by the draft or once free agency starts. Underacheivers..all three, maybe someone will trade for their "potential".

I hope the players, their agents and reps go easy on the owners, especially the ones who own the Minnesota franchise.

Times are so bad they have had to resort to begging for a stadium.

'Matter of fact...I wouldn't be surprised at all to see team employees standing on the side of the road on exit ramps downtown with cardboard signs that say "Will play for free stadium...God bLESS!"

Vikes aren't going to find their 2011 starting QB in this year's draft. We likely end up signing Donovan McNabb, after the Redskins release him (they don't want to pay him the huge salary the signed him to this year). Lots of talk about Vikes trading down in R1 to gain later R1 and R3 picks. Requires a team that wants to move up, maybe so as to take WR Julio Jones or if DE Robert Quinn? Would love to trade Saints the #12 pick and our 2nd R5 pick (we have two) for the #24 pick and two R3 picks. Highly doubt that happens, but if it did:
R1 #24 - LT Gabe Carimi or Tyron Smith
R2 - OU FS Quinton Carter
R3 - Wisc C John Moffit
R3 - KJ Wright OLB Miss St
R4 - DeMarcus VanDyke CB Miami
R5 - Kenrick Ellis NT Hampton
R6 - Cliff Matthews DE South Carolina
R7 - Mark Dell, MSU
