It has been an interesting season for young Joe Webb. In terms of coaches he's worked with, he's gone from a guy with the temperament of Captain Bligh to someone with the patience of a Peace Corps volunteer.

I'll take this news as an early Christmas present. Kudos to Favre and to Webb. I had no idea this was going on, but I've been hoping it was since the day I saw Webb's YouTube video. Maybe Favre will yet help us get that Lombardi trophy. I also would not mind one bit seeing him come back next year as either OC or HC. He's got the aptitude and demeanor for those jobs.

"is carried off the field in a doggy bag" ...please, you could have said "on his shield", it would have been trite, but more appropriate.

Tjack is NOT the future of the Vikings. I really hope Webb gets the shot he deserves. There is a lot of potential there, and initiative. GO WEBB!

Great that means Webb, will think he dosen't need to attend training camp, and will be an interception machine.

I want to see more of Webb one way or the other. Sadly, we couldn't find the extra time in our scheming to come up with a Wildcat formation involving Webb, Harvin, and Peterson in the backfield and Moss/Rice on the outside running a fly.

Maybe in a few years Webb can be the guy, good for him that he is taking advantage of the resource in front of him, and kudos to Favre for working with the kid...he apparently has come to grips with the looming end of his playing career...coming back as a bonafide QB coach/Assistant OC would be a great idea but I doubt whether he would consider that.
Webb would be a nice combination of Cunningham and Vick and if he gets anything from Favre, he would be light years ahead of those two guys who did not have a HOF'er to work with.

I think he can become a good QB. But, if for some reason, the coach doesn't feel the same way, I'd make him a wide receiver. HE'S GOT GOOD SPEED AND GOOD HANDS.

Here's the hard truth: either TJack stubbornly refuses to avail himself of Favre's knowledge, or Favre doesn't think highly enough of Tjack to give him the time of day.

Does anyone out there know which of the two it is? All I know is that I never see Favre and TJack interacting in a mentor-student relationship like Favre and Rosenfels did.

What's up with that? Help, please.
