Rice is too big a risk to pay him 6-7 mil a year if that's what his agent is looking for, so the Vikings should let him go an fill his spot with a draft pick or free agent.

Randy Moss - Tennessee Titans - 8 games 6 catches 80 yards with 0 touchdowns. The question should be, why did we trade for him? He's a major distraction who is now a possession receiver who doesn't run the routes, loafs, shoots his mouth off and smokes as much dope as Charlie Sheen.

First off, I never said he was productive as he once was, only answering the question on who was responsible for cutting him. I agree, we should have never traded for him in the first palce, but they did, so why release him four weeks later.
Secondly, Sheen likes Coke, Moss likes weed.

We traded for Moss to guarantee a Klink free locker room. Worth a third rounder to me!

Rice is a tough call for the Vikes. He has talent but he also is fragile. He came back to play for a game or 2 just to make sure he would have value. I would hate to see him go but I would understand the decision.

How could anyone disagree with anything said here. No wonder the Packer fans have a field day on this site.

We got rid of Moss because he was a distraction. On your other note, if you saw Sheen on the Today show this morning, he obviously isn't cured. What a mess. Check it out if you have a chance.

OK.. I'll give you the third rounder for getting rid of Klink. But we should have got a case of beer and some white castles throw in also.

Mr O, there's some troll rating everything as disagre, spam, clueless, etc on every post. I don't know where they get the time.

Moss is done. Too much weed.

And Rice knows we are thin at QB.

Rice will do what is in his best interest, but F.A. may not bring huge offers just now. If there were no lockout looming, he'd be in a better position.

Shack, Never thought of it as that way. Not a truer post has been made. Tampa had to pay two first round picks for Gruden, and we got rid of Clink with only giving up a third. Makes the trade more bearable.

Yeah, it's quite obvious when every post was getting rated so poorly. Have a good one.

Heard that the SL Rams are looking at Rice. Would make Bradford better, if he does go there and stays helathy

well, although I would like Sidney to come back, i think if he wants too much money then we don't need him. We still have harvin and peterson and I think if we can pickup a franchise QB that can throw, he'll make receivers like camarilo better. If you look at the teams that were in the superbowl, neither the steeler or packers really have that elite WR. Jennings is good but he's not elite (Elite to me is players like Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson, Adre Johnson). Nelson and Jones would be average without Aaron Rodgers. The steelers on the other hand just have a bunch of average receivers. I would focus on QB and then just build our defense. Good defense and a good QB and you have a chance to win every year.

These guys feel EXACTLY as I do about the Rice injury, he may have followed doctors orders, but he wasn't up front about it to his employer. The end results are obvious.

The fact he waited to have the surgery proved he didn't want to play in Mn.

Why all this talk about Moss? He's gone..water under the bridge. This team needs to look ahead. Klink's biggest problem is his eyes were always in the rearview mirror. Antiquated offensive schemes run by an antiquated albeit great QB.

Rice is gone. Maybe he will have a lot of years like 09 but maybe not. At this point who cares. I still think the way he hid that hip injury is cause enough to let him go. Move on!
