Full story: TwinCities.com

The Vikings aren't in the market for Terrell Owens. That's clear, judging by the reaction from Vikings vice president of player personnel Rick Spielman when asked Friday whether the club had interest in Owens, ...

I think we're excited about our young guys.

...so you mean you're not sure?....rrrrrrrriiiiiiiiggggg ttttthhhhhh!!!!
as for t.o: the guy is a very talented head case...however, if it meant klink would have a migraine...that would be some payback for the pain he has and is causing VIKING fans!

hey we nee T.O. then we will have our kickass offense.....klink would get told about how smart he is not with his play calling and the whole U.S. WOULD LEARN ABOUT IT. A coaching change would have to happen ..you know T.O. will tell it like it is....so when klink does this ......and he will call bad plays like we know at bad times ...oh yea sing him quick...we need him .. he work the short ones and BB the long ones.....who can stop us then...... go ahead give him 10mil for 2yrs....that should do...4 wideout sets will be great with AP in as the back...oh yea...

Owens would be yelling at Childress on every other series, and by mid season, Terrell would be coaching the team.
Problem solved?

I think you need TO on your team you guys need a #1 WR Benard is a great #2 and Housh would of been a great #2 for you guys, chilly needs to save his job for 1 more year and TO would beable to do that. Or just bring me back to play with AP. LOL

If someone out there has some insight as to what the situation with Tory Holt is please clue us in.
I understand he "may be released" by the Rams but I've heard nothing beyond that. A trade would ensure he would be a Viking, but what would we have to give up? I'd rather have Holt than Owens.
I'd like the Pioneer Press to do a detailed analysis
of the CB's who are out there (McCallister, Bly etc...) what it would take to sign them, how much gas do they have left in the tank, injury concerns,
and do the same thing for OT's (Runyan, Thomas, Tauscher). Seems to me if we signed a CB and an OT we would have a lot more flexibility going into the draft.

If the only reason we would deny persuing TO is because of the riff he had with Childress in Philly, then I say give me TO over Chilly anyday of the week. I believe the reward by far out weighs the risk. This is a guy that would take 8 guys out of the box and perhaps let AP go after 2,000 yards because TO is also a very physical blocker on the outside. Chilly's job is on the line this year regardless, why wouldn't he want every option to try to win, although if we fall flat on our faces this year, it could be the end to one of the worst head coaches I've seen in quiet some time (he might be worse than TICE). To me this offseason has been a joke and for a team looking to take that next step, and a team playing for perhaps a new stadium, TO might be just what we need!

Why is the St Paul Pioneer Press saying the Minnesota Vikings are not in the market for Terrell Owens when they already printed an article saying the Vikings were not intereted in Terrell Owens? And why are they drawing these two nearly identical conclusiona from one coy Speilman comment that said "We never say never, but I know you can put the pieces together and the history with coach (Brad) Childress." Moreover, I heard Childress and TO kissed and made up. Mail order is reporting today that the Vikings are one of five teams pursuing TO with Broncos, 49ers, Raiders and Redskins. The newspaper can keep saying the Vikes are not interested in different ways but I wont believe you until the Vikings actually say they have no interest in TO.

Get rid of Chili. He is holding us back. Don't care if we get T.O. but a flyer in Vick would be a great idea. Fire Childress. Blackouts are about to start with him as coach since there will be so many tickets left even the corporations will back off from bailing them out each week. I for one am losing interest as it's almost painful to watch that team with it's playcalling from week to week.

Terrell Owens is saying he wants to go to a team with a good QB. Maybe that is why the Vikings are being coy about trying to get TO ???

Terrell Owens wouldn't consider Minnesota no matter how much money they paid him simply because of the same reason we lost out on TJ Housh. No quarterback to get him the ball.

T.O. could help any team's passing game no matter who is at QB. For the ability to pull defenses out of the 8 & 9 man front alone, could help AP hit pay-dirt quite often and that will benefit the Vikes. I would like the Vikes to make a play for Mike Vick!! Get him in here, for his early years of Redemption! and to keep the stadium ticket sold...We are in a recession, so General Mills can't send in their TV Blackout Bail-out plan every home game!

The reason we lost on Housh is MONEY - Hassle-crack is old and broken down - I love bashing the Vikings for their QB moves as much as the next guy, but Sage and Hassle-crack are about even - Housh didn't go to SEA because it was "closer" to his hometown - 2 hr 45 min flight from SEA to LAX and a 3 hr 30 min flight from MSP to LAX - Housh signed because the hawks offered more money, plain and simple - and there is nothing wrong with that - I've been with my company for 7 years, if another company called me and offered me a 200% pay raise, I'd be out the door faster than you could shake a stick, nothing wrong with chasing the money - I get tired of fans ignoring that and get even more tired of fans who think it's wrong...please...Tori Hunter, 45 mil from the Twins or 90 mil from the Angels...pretty easy decision...IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY!

Not in the market for anybody apparently. "It was a weak class" means: Zygi lost a lot of money in real estate this year and he doesn't want to spend anymore money. I honestly don't think they plan on contending this year. If the "HOPE" season doesn't work out, the coach MUST go. I thought Zygi said he wasn't afraid to spend the money? So, your telling me the guys in the front office and Chilly are saying: Awhhh, don't worry Zygi, this team is built for a championship run, we don't need to even ATTEMPT to add anyone. Yeah, just like it was Chill's decision to bench Jackson. Look at our FN team from top to bottom... it's really kinda sad. We have the Hubert H. Dumper Dome - Worst in the League, a dysfunctional head coach and an owner who just wants to make money off of the real estate in MN. I can hear that sorry Vikings horn blowing right now. Seriously, Sage Rosenfels. OMG. Afraid to bring TO in because Chilly only wants guys who bow to him.(Culpepper)
