In 4 years, Rice had 1 good year. Would Rice take an incentative type contract? If you were drafting, and FA is kinda like a draft, would he be a #1 pick? The article also hints at the O/L being the problem for Farve and TJ getting hurt but doesn't suggest getting a fix, instead wanting to bring in a veteran QB to get hurt instead of Ponder.

Football is a business. Kanfan if you were Rice you would not sign a incentive type contract. You would do what he me and everybody else would do. Get as much money as you can in a signing bonus then put incentives pro bowl, catches and touchdowns.

Don't ask athletes to do something business stupid Kanfan.

The problem with Favre was the same problem he had 4 his career. Turnovers.

Stop protecting Ponder. He starts from day 1.

No, I would ask for money and sign with the highest bidder. That said, Rice owes something to the Vikings for taking their money and not playing. I just think, and the record shows, Rice is much as a liability as an asset, so bidder beware. I ain't protecting Ponder....and neither will that O/L. LOL.
