Anticipation of Vick Signing Gains Steam

There was renewed anticipation Monday in and around the NFL that recently reinstated quarterback Michael Vick might be inching closer to signing with a team. After Tony Dungy, the former Indianapolis Colts coach who serves as an adviser to Vick, said during the television broadcast of Sunday night's Hall of Fame Game that he expected Vick to sign soon, several people familiar with the deliberations indicated Monday a handful of teams have been demonstrating behind-the-scenes interest. 'I don't know where he's gonna end up,' one person familiar with the situation said, speaking on the condition of anonymity because the talks are at a sensitive stage. 'I can't tell you which teams, but I know there's at least five.'

DISPELLING VICK RUMORS: Contrary to speculation from Chris Mortensen of ESPN, the Ravens aren't expected to pursue quarterback Michael Vick.

Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome has repeatedly said whenever asked about Vick that the team likes the three quarterbacks currently on its roster.
The Ravens don't make sense as a potential destination for Vick for several reasons, including the presence of quarterback Joe Flacco and versatile backup Troy Smith as well as being averse to potential distractions.

Vick has been granted conditional reinstatement by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in the wake of serving 23 months for his involvement in dogfighting.

Getting desperate they are already desperate unbelievable, with all of the animal abuse and dogfighting that continue to go on as we speak they are still harping on Vick.
