Jimmy Raye pays little attention to preseason statistics, but he has a figure in mind for the regular season: 60-40. That's the ratio of runs to passes the offensive coordinator envisions for the 49ers in 2009.

Jimmy Raye has just admitted to all you 49er fans that he knows he doesn't have a NFL quality level QB or WR's. Neither did Bill Walsh with the first Super Bowl team. But what Walsh knew he could do was devise his offense to fit his personnel and concentrate on defensive "pass rush" schemes to "free up" Fred Dean to the QB. You will never have the perfect personnel and anyone of you who is waiting for that to happen knows absolutely nothing about coaching. What you must do is modify your offense and defense to "fit" the strengths of your personnel. That was the genius of Bill Walsh. Prediction. 49ers will go 7-9 this season 60-40 is a loser.
