Curry is gone I am sure...Not sure about Walker...if it's not going to save us much why do it? He could be a #2 or #3 WR...I wonder how much better off we will be next year to sign Nnamdi?
I really hope they are able to sign Lechler...He is our priority in resigning. Then it leaves the O-Line D-Line and WR in that order I think....maybe put WR before D-Line. I think Higgins is a special player that will have a break out year at WR. But for him to do that our O-line needs to be beefed up....JRuss needs time. and our current O-line isn't giving him enough...

I think it would cost a lot just to cut Walker. Anytime you sign a veteran with Walker's injury history there should always be an option in there like with QB Aaron Brooks. Harris and Green oughta be gone for sure and Carlisle if we don't have a suitable replacement. I'd go with Henderson at LT (in place of Harris) since he showed good signs of life at the end of the season. Hopefully Paul McQuistan will be back to replace Cornell Green at RT but if we draft somebody better, then he'll be good depth or possibly move to guard. With the way Schilens and Higgins played at the end of last season, I really don't think WR is a big a priority as the critics are saying but if a good one is available to us in the draft it would be wise to take him. Assuming we tag Nnamdi and re-sign Baker and Alston, runstuffing NT should be the top priority on defense. Now if we get a bigger MLB (a Greg Biekert type) and move Morrison to SLB then we might be able to get by with Kelly and Warren both playing 3 techniques. Plus that would put both DEs closer to the outside of the line and make it easier to get to the QB.

At WR I think it would be wise to go with Higgins and Schilens as starters and give Shields a chance since he was injured plus Holland and Watkins a chance to prove themselves since we are young at that position and most of them haven't had much of a chance, but at the same time if Crabtree is available to us, we should take him.

Stopping the run is important, but so is running the ball. To me, the defensive line as a group has more talent than the offensive line as a group. There are weakenesses on the D-Line and there are some good players on the O-Line. Having said that, the priority seems to be OL and WR and this year is a good year to draft OL. Specifically, it would be great to see the Raiders get an OT and Center with their first two picks. A good chance Crabtree will be gone in Round 1 and Nicks in Round 2, so that may happen. If the Raiders go O-Line in Rounds 1 and 2, there is still some talent WRs that should be available when they pick in Round 3.

wow, with this nfl cap thing all players get to go to other teams if the pretty much please! at the same time time, no player seems safe by asking for more money or deserving it. it's not like the old days when players would stay with their teams and get to the hall of fame. it is rare now-adays for a player to make it to the hall of fame with their original team. look at namdi osomuagha, for example, great player but, everything is a money factor here! who in the RAIDERS org do you guys see going to the hall of fame as a RAIDER? practically everybody that plays today will most likely be out in three or four yrs or so. players bouncing from team to team. if a player gets traded in his last years and makes it good for the team that he got traded to for a good four years, he will most likely use that team that took him in, for a H.O.F statue. ray lewis, may get traded and can still use baltimore because he has been there forever. but namdi? he really doesn't care if he plays here anymore. who else will be a hall of famer here?

I think Tim Brown will use the Raiders as his statue and Jerry Rice will use the 49ers because that is where most of their career accomplishments happened. But now if you're Rod Woodson, who do you choose? Most of career as a Steeler, lost a Superbowl with them, represented them in Pro Bowl several times; 1 year with SF and not much there; Brief stint with Baltimore, won a superbowl with them, represented them in Pro Bowl twice; Then 2 years with Oakland, lost a superbowl with them, represented them in pro bowl once then suffered career ending injury...To me it sounds like a toss up between Pittsburgh and Baltimore because he was a Steeler most of his career but won his championship as a Raven

I wonder if Javon Walker could fail a physical and make it cheaper to let him go like with Barret Robbins, Bill Romanowski, Trace Armstrong, and Rod Woodson.

giant that never, you keep comming here to our forum. do you have something for the RAIDERS? does your forum know that you secretly come here to visit us? nothing against it really! if we were a team that was not over the giants in terms being under the giants in wins, i would probably not be responding to you. but we have explained to you how the RAIDERS record is beter than than or vs the giants. we have pride here. we admit we are a mess right now and we know we are going to get over this soon. but what does that have anything to do with you? you're not a rival? you're giants don't mean anything to us. congrats on your superbowl. but that's about it! other than, we own your team! we have nothing in common! can't you talk with your little giant fans about us? in other words, and i didn't want to say this. but, do you like to get bitch slapped? are you that kind?(LOL) i mean really., what do you want?(LOL)

i just love to talk football.i dont mean to b a dick im just having fun.i could talk football all day long.but i do call it the way i see it.i just believe al davis needs to get his act together.he needs to get the raiders back to the team they once were.i dont think cable is the answer.i dont believe u would think cable is the answer.there were a tremendous amount of coaches out there this year and good ones and he choose cable.i think davis felt that cable wasnt the best coach but was the best puppet for him.as big as a raider fan that u r u have to b alittle annoyed at some of als actions.but let me tell u this i respect a guy that stands by his team as u do.i apologize if i got under your skin but i just love to talk football.GIANTS 09!!!!

your a 100% right about plax.there were games this year were we really looked like we didnt need plax.then there were games where we really missed him.games where we needed a big play plax could have gave us.plax is a fuck up.but the giants problems stem a little further than plax.eli to me is to inconsistent.one week hes a superstar and the next he sucks he gives us to much inconsistant at the most important position on the field.hopefully in 09 he he becomes more consistant.i cant say im confident he will.hes been in this league to long now i think what u see is what u get now.but we gotta live with it.hpefully he changes hes got the tools but it is what it is.

They've been a mess since losing superbowl 37 and since Tom Cable got them pointed in the right direction last year, it's the most progress I've seen in getting it cleaned up. Norv Turner failed with 2 years of service; Art Shell made it worse with only 1 year of service; Lane Kiffin found good talent and got them some motivation, but had baggage of his own in the office; But Tom Cable got them focused and proved to them that they can win as long as they set their mind to it and make plays when given opportunity and he started coaching them like it was a football team and not a dictatorship.

r u guys satified with russell.this guy has a major league arm.i just thought they should turn him loose.let him throw the ball 35-40 times.i understand u have to have some run game but i just feel like the raiders arent using him to full capcity.i knew this guy was going before quinn.right after the notre dame lsu game i told my boys the raiders cant miss with this guy.he made quinn look stupid.
