I've seen quite a few high school quarterbacks toss around the pigskin lately. All of them -- even the JV guys -- could have done a better job than the Raiders' JaMarcus Russell did on Sunday.

did you see the amount of drops? should russell catch his own passes? his hackett doing a good enough job with him? is cable calling the right plays? why go away from the run and why use all three running backs. stick with bush and mcfadden. let them shine. adding in another runner just takes the air out of them. easy thing to do is blame the quarter back. U don't know what plays are called and how if affects the outcome of the passes. maybe receivers are not where they are suppose to be? it can be a combination of many things, but I will say this. Cable is not the right man for this situation. I will agree with Al on this one and I think this is the only time I ever will agree with him on anything at all cause I am not fond of the man. Russell can be great and like any young QB, he needs the proper time and get this.....he needs the right coaching. Aikman had good coaches around him after he struggles that first few years. he's gone on to do pretty well. Oh yeah, remember when that retard who said Moss had lost a step and couldn't play anymore??? well, one year removed what happened? same will happen with Russell if he goes on to another team. maybe this is the best thing to happen for him and land on another team. Oakland will again cry over another failure.

First...Moss leaving had nothing to do with him losing a step...that was said to try and save face....Moss didn't want to be with the Raiders so they got rid of dead weight.....that was a smart move! I agree with being patient with Russell however some of the dropped balls were right in the wr's hands...that is not a misread or bad route by the WR....that's butterfingers. I think Russell should sit for a two weeks...just to give him some time to have someone work with him on decision making and scanning the field. it will take longer than a couple weeks but the idea is to get him on the right page....It also will teach him the starting spot is earned not given....I too think he is comfortable knowing he doesn't have a lot of competition behind him.

i know garcia kind of worked his way to unemployment and i know he was probably not the answer for oakland but he is a proven passing (qb) "i feel" better than when he was in sf. had he stil been with oakland he most likely would have started already and gone through the same thing as russell and gradkowski. these receivers have dropped "ALOT" of passes! neither the (qb) russell or the (wr's) have given each other the confidence in each other to back each other up. did they not use schilens much because he's been out of football with injury too long? he shure was needed out there catching more.

What does satin (a type of fabric) have to do with the Oakland Raiders? Al Davis has done more for the NFL than you know. He's just past his prime and needs to step down for the good of the team.

JA-LARD-ASS , is a bust, deal with it and move on,,,If Cable can't see that ,,well why is he a coach ?? SO far we have a quaterback that can't throw.. and a wide reciever that can't catch, other than that we're doing ok.... The Raider's are CLOWNS , how can any one of you guys cash your weekly checks ?? I wouldn't be able to sleep at night, how you can sleep, I have no idea...JUST A BUNCH OF CLOWNS !!!!!!!!!!

Russell has some issues, But saying a High School QB could be under center and perform better than Russell is absolute garbage. This guy is an idiot and should not be a sports writer. I don't know where you watch High School ball but It can't be anywhere on this planet. High School QB's haven't developed physically or mentally enough to even step antwhere near a pro field. You're a douche, please stop writing about football, please.

You don't know anything about football buddy. Let's put you into his situation, the O-Line is in shambles. The Raiders have no recievers with over 1000 career reception years other than Javon Walker who hasn't even suited up this season. The only reliable target he has is Zach Miller. There is no running game, basically the whole offence needs to be revamped its not all on the quarterback.
