Is this really serious? Lemon played one game, and he showed that he wasnīt the answer. Cullpepper is still behind, and he is not a proven leader. Harrington got the heart for Miami Dolphins, and needs the time to be the number one from the start of the season. Let him fight and see what he could do.

But stil the best answer to the QB problem is to draft a quarterback for the future. Thatīs the long term answer, but Iīll guess that doesnīt fit in Dolphins owners mind.

You are so right Max...also, why doesn't Steinbrenner buy the Dolphins? We'd go to the Super Bowl every year. Whether you like or dislike Steinbrenner, you have to admit he builds winners.
He occasionally gets lucky BUYING winners in a market that allows him to make a profit in doing so. He doesn't build and hasn't won anything since 2000. The Marlins, with a puny payroll, beat his team with the highest payroll (in just six games) in the 2003 World Series. That's what I call BUILDING a winner - finding players who play as a team rather than for stats.
By the way...there's a salary cap in the NFL. How do you suggest Steinbrenner would have any advantage?

Cutting Joey is a stupid move on the Dolphins part. I've been a Harrington fan since he was in Detroit. If the dolphins actually think cleo lemon can be a starter then i feel sad for them.

It's worse than that. They might be thinking Daunte can be a starter.

You should look at the stats before you start slamming players. Was Detroit better without Joey??NO they weren't, in fact they were worse, which he proved on Thanksgiving day. Peyton Manning would of had a losing record in Detroit...Daunte SUCKS........What will be the excuse this year, just like SABAN said there was nothing wrong with his knee its all based on the fact that the man isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. He can't quickly change plays or read the defense, so unless he can run better than ever he will stick it up again....
I slammed no one. As I stated, I like Joey. But check the stats! And... do you want money grubbers on this team, or guys that give their bloody all like Daunte? I still hold Saban accountable for even starting him in the first place. If you watched opening night, you'll recall how Madden and Michaels BOTH noticed that Pep wasn't right with his knee. Don't blame the player, blame the flamin' coach, as we all saw Pep wasn't healthy... and that was game 1! Yet STILL, he went on to have a better QB rating than Joey: unhealthy, getting sacked 21 times, and facing the pressure of Super Bowl hype. I HAVE to ask you, are you on crack cocaine or are you drinking on the hater-aid? And who are you to argue with the names I mentioned (facts)?

I hope that if Daunte craps the bed, we will have spent our #9 pick on Quinn should he still be on the board. At this stage in the game, nothing is guaranteed with Daunte's health. DRAFT A QB THIS YEAR GUYS!!

Joey plays his ass off. If he can make Miami even look as good as they did then you dolphin fans should be happy. The phins are only better than detroit which says nothing

Joey won some games dispite Chambers and his drops and tip drills. I think CAM thinks Joey can't lead. This may be the case with Chambers underminning any guy that is not Af American. Chambers will be after Thomas next and then Taylor and Crowder.

Steinbrenner doesn't build anything!! He buys it! In the NFL he couldn't survive with the salary cap situation. He'd be just another disappointed owner trying to change the system.

The Dolphins need to take a lesson from the Patriots and trade down, or load up on lower round picks.

A lot of players from the top half of the first round are over overpaid primadonnas OR they were good players from a great college team that made them look better than they really are.

And right now, the Dolpins won't be saved by 1 "great" player... they need 3 or 4 very good players on each side of the ball.

You are a yerk. Read the post. Was Detroit better without Joey? FACT: NO!!. QB rating isn't everything. Look at the Game. How many interceptions did Harrington have that were on the blame of the receiver, take them away and guess what his rating is higher that DUMBPEPPER. Also, I don't do drugs or need to say negative things about other people to make myself feel better. YOU SHOULD GET A LIFE!!!LOSER!!!!

Yerk or no yerk, Sheri, Joey didn't get it done. Heck, no one in Miami got it done. As I stated previously, I like Joey very much. He's a team leader, geniune article, and very intelligent. He just isn't the quarterback that he was supposed to be coming out of college. It's a shame that ANY QB gets an interception when the receiver screws up the catch. There has been talk of maybe changing who gets charged for the pick. At any rate, it happens to ALL QB's in the league and it's a shame. With that said, Joey is still Joey and I wish him well wherever he goes. I hope he shows and proves someday so everyone can see what heart and drive can do. I'm sorry you disagree with me. Who's calling who names?! Peace

Watchdog, You have to be kidding me that you think Steinbrenner would succeed in the NFL whrere there is a salary cap! He is willing to spend the money, but that dosen't cut it in the NFL! You have to have good coaching and people in your organization that recognize and build young talent. Not buy your way to the top like the unpopular Major Leagues!
