I do see Cincy coming in and laying the wood to the Browns. I think Akron and Mount Union would put up a good fight.

Frye was traded to another team because of his mistakes. Quinn will be traded also, when he starts making errors.
Cutting your starting quarterback at the beginning of week 2?!?!?!??!? Which has NEVER happened since the merger in 1970??????!!!! And this is the quarterback's fault?!??!!??!? Crennel is a completely clueless joke. As is this so-called "team". Charlie is way better off in Seattle. Wonder if the coach will get cut in week 3?

What a blessing for Charlie Frye. Now he is with a team and has a shot to win.
Can't wait to watch "The Blame Game" for this week!
Yeah, the Seahawks do have a shot to win -- as long as they keep Frye on the sideline.
Frye was so bad, I might even blame him when the Browns lose to Cincy.

Hey McFly are you "deaf, dumb & stupid! Its called my right as a "Fan" which comes from the word "FANATIC"!!!!!!!!!! I can no longer be FANATIC about the Browns!!!!!! I've been a "diehard" Cleveland "everything fan like everyone else in this forum, except you that is. Did you get the word "DIEHARD".....I like every else has "DIED HARD" over and over and over. The Browns with their unproffesionalism, classlessness, and pathetic operation have worn this boy out. We are starting over. Again!!!! DAH!!! Again!!!! For the millioneth Time, we are starting over while other teams have gotten to the Super Bowl. What part dont you understand!!! The Browns have been an exactly .500 team since 1964. For you people involved in "Statiscal Process Control" this .500 average does not bode well for the future. There's a pretty good bet that if the Lord doesnt perform a Miracle on behalf of the Cleveland Browns we will continue to be at best a average or below average team. I think the Lord has some higher priorties to be concerned about instead of this group of misfits. I know I do not follow Yankees or Red Wings as you do. But I am now going to follow the Seattle Seahawks. How about that! Thats my right as a fan. Get over it and get over yourself.
So you don't mind being a bandwagon fan of whoever is winning at the moment? More power to you, but I personally hate people that change teams when they don't win. Yes, it has been multiple years now, but it definitely shows your loyalty. I have been a Browns fan since my childhood and will continue until I die. THAT is what being a fan is. Not changing teams when the going gets tough.

I dont know what you clowns are complaining about. Having loyalty for one player that doesnt (make your team better) makes you a horrible fan. Rooting for a player from Akron that has roots to NE Ohio is all well and good, but Frye is not going to get any better, period. Great move to get rid of him and Im surprised they found somebody that wanted him. I still think Seattle might cut him. If you arent ready to throw the ball in the pocket IN WEEK ONE, you gotta go! You should have been practicing these plays for this defense for weeks now and he still wasnt ready. Maybe thats Romeos fault too, although Pittsburgh D are no punks.
You guys also kill me talking about the best players in college adjusting to the NFL. Clearly being spoke on by people who never played the game. Quinn is too short, Troy Smith is too short, etc., etc. Where do you think NFL players come from? Quin and Smith played with these same guys in college at the highest level possible. Personnel isnt that much different from Div-1 college football to the NFL. You are just playing with grown men who dont have to go to class in between practice and are getting payed a ton of money for it, thats it.

What a moron. What kind of idiot renounces his loyalty to a team because some crappy third string QB is traded? That like saying youre a Orioles fan now because the Indians traded Fernando Cabrera to them. Nonsensical. Beat it McFly.

I've been a seahawks fan for 30 years, but my dad is a dyed in the wool browns fan, so i've kinda followed both teams. that said, frye is far more than a crappy third string qb. he was sold to the city as the future of the franchise. frye and edwards did those terrible mcdonalds commercials together as an image of what was to come. this was to be the new kosar/brennan/slaughter set-up. this was the promise to the fans that the years of rebuilding were going to yield results. it turns out it was a bill of goods. i have no idea how any qb could play with confidence when he gets a start on a coin-toss and has a blue-chip rookie in the wings.

frye represented the empty promise of this expansion team and his trade the mismanagement of a franchise with the most loyal fans on the planet. sure, his numbers were pretty crappy (especially sunday), but you can't get completions when your marquis receivers drop passes that hit them in the hands (or when your big name TE garners as many penalties as yards -- do a google search on kellen winslow penalties sometime).

i hope for my dad's sake (and all the browns fans) that serious changes are made at the head office rather than scapegoating and continual disappointments.

Why are you even checking this website? Aren't you a Seahawks fan now? Shouldn't you be cruising matthasselbeck.com for insights on your precious Seahawks? What's going to happen next year when Chaz is playing in the CFL? Are you going to renounce the NFL altogether and buy Toronto Argonaut merchandise? Moron.

If Pittsburgh would have traded Roethlisberger because he had a bad game, they never would have won their last Super Bowl. The Browns would be lucky to have Cowher next year.

John Elway in his prime would suck playing on this cleveland team. wait until derek anderson has a shit game, then quinn will be in, and once he has a few shit games, he'll be out as well. if i were a college qb entering the draft, i'd be terrified to be drafted by THIS VERSION of the browns.
