Oakland Raiders upset Philadelphia Eagles 13-9

The game started with the Raiders and Eagles trading three and outs, and the Eagles were the first to break through when they kicked a field goal in the first quarter.

Jamarcus Russell had more yards passing in this game than he did on the whole season. Donavan McNabb was sack just as many times this game as he'd been all season. Amazing game.

I was impressed with Justin Fargas. As much as I like Michael Bush and think he should start, Fargas got the job done today and they did the right thing by sticking with him. Gary Russell did well at fullback. Louis Murphy played a major blocking role in Zach Miller's TD catch. Defense actually played defense and not man to man the whole game.

Does anybody besides me remember Stanford Routt having an INT returned for TD called back for pass interference despite not even touching the intended receiver. Then it was followed up by unsportsmanlike conduct for Tom Cable taking the field and telling the ref what he thought about it (I'll bet some wondered if he was gonna break his jaw?)
Apparently Patrick Patterson forgot when he wrote the article because he said that neither team could find the end zone after Miller's TD. Victory always over shadows the bad calls and I think they did a good job be regaining their composure and not letting one bad call that took away a good play ruin the game.

We have to confess that we thought the Raiders had packed it in. I say we because I know I'm not alone on this one. I mean they only scored 13 points, but that is understandable against the Eagles defense. However, the Raider's defense played inspired football. I mean they held McNabb to three field goals! The question now is "Are the Raiders finally turning the corner, or did McNabb just have a bad game?" Correct me if I'm wrong but we just beat an elite team and we did it without key players!

Would love to have seen Ron Jaworski's face throughout that game .. lol. I got the impression he hates the Raiders (espeacially after losing the superbowl to them as a player). Briiliant stuff.

Ps .. Am I the only one that thinks Jaworski looks like one of the Chevy Chase character disguises in the movie 'Fletch'.. its the guy that's inspecting the airplane !!.. lmao

Routt's int was a bad call. I liked how Cable let the refs know his displeasure. Cable looks for the players to be vocal leaders, but so can the coach. Cable showed his leadership after that play. Good Job!

Funny how victory tends to make us forget about the bad calls like Routt's pick for a TD getting nullified and the mistakes like Russell forcing the pass to Louis Murphy on 4th and inches when all he had to do was scramble across the line of scrimage for a fresh set of downs.
