Very much so. Excusing the pun, but it's nice to see that we have the "centerpiece" of our line locked up for quite some time. It's good for a number of reasons -- a QB needs to have a good relationship with his center, so keeping him here longer will allow that to happen more with Brett and eventually with Aaron. Also, while most offensive linemen can learn to snap the ball and block, not everyone is as good at reading defenses as the other. Scotty seems to do a good job doing that, so it's great to keep him around for that reason as well.

Oh yeah, and he blocks pretty damn good too :D

I am sorry I can't tell you anything about Scott but I live in Texas so we didn't see much of each other. I can tell you that he comes from a great family. I married his uncle. He comes from a long line of preachers and singers.

Wells was a low round draft choice that many analysts thought might have a problem in the NFL because of short arms. This is just another example of how unheralded players can become big time players. Good for Wells and good for the Packers.
