Well I certainly hope it's not true, but usually when these things come out it ends up not so good. Always remember folks three can keep a sceret if two of them are dead.

Yeah let's hear Bugeye Nation now!!!! All the hate toward USC and Reggie Bush. All the calls for severe penalties. Which was right. Will the same hold true for the Bugeyes???????? Something tells me that a lot of folk is going to keep their yaps shut on this one. You know it. I know it.

What timing for this "story". The Bucks become #1 and an allegation from an agent (very trustworthy individuals) comes out the same week on SI's site. SI is competing with ESPN for the biggest hater role and the timing of this is a little too coincidental for me.

Holmes is old news. Love what Justin Boren and Lil Bro have meant to OSU. Thanks RichRod for being such a piece of trash. JB has been the heart and soul of the O-line. And ZB is one tough dude. Ohio. Enough said!

I always laughed at Holmes. It was real obvious he was a "me" person who was simply repeating what he was coached to say.

Don't get me wrong because I love my Buckeyes, but I would love to be a mouse in the football program and see how the coaches prep these guys, and observe peer pressure they must be under to say the right things.

If there is anything to this, I would not argue with any appropriate penalties based on the awareness level of the university or, if applicable, lack of oversight. It's pretty much impossible to keep an eye on everyone in the program, but if something like this really happened over a period of two years (I have serious doubts) someone needs to be accountable.

Oh, and we agree on one other thing: you are a supporter. Sorry, had to say it.

I also concur with the commenter who is suspicious of the timing, that was my first thought too.

Yes, this is news!!!! Gonna be great when the finally expose the money machine over at Suckeye U!!!! Time for probabtion, just like USC and loss of scholarships and finally it will be shown that OSU is one of the most corupt universies around!!!!

Betcha the buckeye fans will think that since Holmes is gone, nothing should happen. Bush left and look at what happened to USC. Kind of funny that Holmes is the only one denying that he took money...others in the SI story have said they took it....typical lying Sucknut!!!

Read the article about statute of limitations. USC got hit because of a lack on institutional controls. They had a star football player and basketball player at minimum involved. Their staffs were aware of it. Far cry from these allegations. Have a nice life hater!

Josh Fuchs is a scumbag of the worst kind and a snitch to boot. He has come out against all of these players because he is angry that he was run out of the business for stealing another agents money. This disgrace of a man has a motive for what he is doing and let me explain why he is wrong.

Fuchs sued agent Gary Winchard for breach of contract and lost his court case. Winchard subsequently counter sued for commission money that Fuchs kept from a player. Winchard won and the NFLPA suspended Fuchs for a year effectively ending his career. Axe to grind? I think so.

Fuchs didn't pay Holmes is trying to say that Holmes told him he was already on the take? REALLY? Hearsay at best...and maybe Holmes did say that; maybe that was Holmes response to these scumbags who try and leach onto athletes to make them go away..."hey bud leave me alone i'm on the take". His accusation of Holmes is so far fetched.

Fuchs claims he met Holmes outside of the WHAC, well if you've ever been to or near the WHAC the players parking lot and entrance are protected by electric gates that only players and coaches have the code to. Do you really believe that Fuchs had access to this area? I don't...

Finally, starting in the fall of 2003 and ending in 2006 the NCAA wore full rubber suits and crawled up the department of athletics rear end and conducted a thorough 3 year cavity search and besides the Troy Smith $500 take from a booster after the 04 Michigan game; the football team came out squeaky clean. If Holmes was so brazen to announce he was taking money to just about anybody don't you think the NCAA would have discovered this?

I am not saying Holmes wasn't on the take; what I am saying is this accusation from Fuchs holds zero weight what so ever. It comes from a scumbag agent with an axe to grind against the profession that ran him out of his career. His accusation is unfounded hearsay that has so many holes in it it could be mistaken for swiss cheese (or Michigan's secondary)

Finally, for all you thinking that this is going to bring a sh*t storm down on Ohio State; the NCAA has a 4 year statute of limitation which, means Ohio State cannot be punished for Holmes actions if he were ever found to have violated NCAA rules.

THIS IS A NON-STORY. SANTONIO WAS A GREAT BUCKEYE, END OF STORY!

GO BUCKS! BEAT WISCONSIN!!!

Santonio has always been a thug. While playing for OSU he beat a woman and got caught with weed. I don't have a problem with weed (and think it should be legalized), but it's not worth jeopardizing a career where you have the potential for fame and fortune (especially if you don't have any other skills).

Hey Bongo! If Santonio took $500k you can start comparing him to Reggie Bush and USC.
This is probably an agent who didn't get the representation he was looking for. Sour Grapes! You and the Agent who missed out.
Also, it is interesting that SI sat on the USC thing for five plus years ... even after a court settlement by the Bush family ... and after the LA Times was yelling all the while. And now they post a note based strictly on one man's insinuation. It doesn't sound like he has any evidence at all.

College players that are talented enough to garner such attention should be allowed to accept payments and fringe from agents, so long as there is no traceability between the agent and the school (ie, no incentive for the student to attend one school over others). Just my opinion. The agents and players are making a financial decision based on prospective future contracts that are independant of the school.

And you know personally that Tressel and his staff did not know he took money???? Guess it would be kind of hard to see these agents haning around outside your locker room.....the Buckeye will go down...only a matter of time until they get caught....if one took money...others took the money..........

I put this accusation on the same level as all the political ones being made right now. Order of business should be: investigate, prove, and prosecute if warranted. For those of us who know nothing about what has or hasn't been done, be quiet and let those who qualify do their job.
