Peease!!...WHO CARES? He is a nice backup who averaged 3.5 sacks over 6 years. Special Teams players are much easier to find. Let the Jets have him. The team was awful last year and our division rivals keep picking up our BACKUPs, predominantly. Let the media run with this, but we should not.

If you really watch every snap Bowens was one of our favs.He was great D-line depth and a special teams killer.BIG LOSS!

For those of us old enough to remember Monday Night Football with Don Meredith. He had a little song he'd sing at the end..."turn out the lights, the party's over..." In other words, the season hasn't even started and it's looking incredibly ugly for the Fins.

Well can't sign everyone. Matt Roth pretty much made David Bowens expendable. Roth was coming on at the end of last season.

The media makes it seem like our division rival...i.e.The Jets(SUCK)got a great player who will now kick our collective a@#es!!!!

Gimme A break!!!!

...btw...I'm sick and tired reading about Mare whining about not being traded because he has a "new baby" to support...!!!!
How is he going to make ends meet now?

3.5 sacks per year... playing 30% of the plays. As a full-time starter, he may have had 8 sacks per year. Bowens is good. He'll be missed

Oh no, we lost another high priced, less than mediocre player to a division rival. See ya!! Manny is working out with the team. Mo Saban bully to treat him like Sh-t. Manny Wright will have his head screwed on right, he will be twice the player that Bowens is.

Funny how you guys are able to turn on someone so quickly. Does the term BANDWAGON mean anything? I'm interested in seeing what he does in the Jets defensive scheme.

Careful what you wish for. So far it's been a revolving door with the dolphins exiting to their rivals. The rich get richer and the poor become the dolphins.

David Bowens why the Jets? the Jets are in the same Division of the Dolphins, I can't believe Wes Welker and now you going to give the jets a hand on how to beat us. Wes Welker will probably do the same thing for the Patriots!

The fins might get a couple of junk games but thats about it. Get rid of Zack Thomas let him enjoy his fooball career.

"Yes" we have 2 defensive ends on the roster now Matt Roth and the other one with a bad back named Jason Taylor. So no problem letting Carter, Bowens and a good defensive line coordinator go. GM Mueller has stated we will be in good shape come November so the fans do not need to worry. Hope he is right and if he is not I hope every team in the NFL is tracking his moves so if he is wrong he can't get a job in the NFL as an equipment mgt the rest of his career. Remember Dolfan's quoting Mueller yesterday he threw any excuse about this being a rebuilding year out the window when he compared this Dolphins team that does not need to be rebuilt with a New Orleans team he did rebuild years ago. So if anyone goes down injured this year Taylor, Zack, Traylor, Chambers or whomever we are covered because Mueller has stated so. Time to be optomistic yea but I would wait on buying season tickets until we can see who Mueller is hiring instead of firing!

I hope you are wrong but if the Dolphins are in a rebuilding mode trading Zach and Taylor now would be the moves to make while you can still get something for them as they are getting old. Of course they need someone around to convince fans to buy game tickets. In years past you would hear Zack and Taylor supporting the change but not this year wonder why?
