FSU still can't beat Wake Forest, loses 12-3

This was to be the night that Florida State proved it was a different Seminoles team than the one that had slipped to the middle of the Atlantic Coast Conference in recent years. Full Story

Last year Trickett fired all of the experience on the O-line and we got to watch Drew get smeared. The line started to gel in time for X-man to get the start. After one good game he showed why he hadn't been the starter before. Tonight Ponder and Richardson showed why coaches usually don't pick the starter on raw talent alone. They should dedicate the game in memory of Xavier. Same old formula: youthful mistakes, frustration, trying to do too much, erratic play. Last year they threw the season away for a quick transition to Trickett ball, Looks like this year will go to train quarterbacks. I wonder how Drew held the clipboard wrong to keep from scoring. (I'm sure it was his fault)

Never fear F$U fans,.....just crank up the ol' VCR and watch some of those old tapes that have been gathering dust......you know, from the days when your program actually meant something. Pitiful.

The Seminoles are breaking my heart. And to think Wake could have been up like 24-0 if they hadn't fumbled in FSU territory. Well, I'm not sure if I should be proud of the defense, but they did a great job keeping FSU in the game. We lost against a great team. We need a solid quarterback though and a running back to get some yards. I'm still a Seminole though, win or lose.

I guess Bobby Bowden gets those many many wins against 2A teams and he would be 100 games back behind Paterno if they WERENT COUNTED. I see a few Woffords, Fordhams, and Girly Girl schools on the schedule. They will probably win in Jax because the heat and lousy water wont be tolerated by the BUFFS players.

Hey nole fans, how do you feel about T. K. paying Bowden 3 million a year to give you this kind of football? And how could anybody in their right mind name Jimbo head coach in waiting?

For anyone who did not watch, this game should have been 31-0 in favor of Wake Forrest. While the defense played well, the offense, special teams, substitutions causing blown timeouts and penalties, clock management, were ridiculous. Bobby Bowden needs to leave [8 years late]. His not so entertaining anymore pithy comments [excuses], combined with his still enormous salary, is making fans start to gag. Perhaps that was the reason for the large chunks of stadium empty that I saw.

It looked like Wake knew the FSU offense better than the FSU coaches and players!

The mistakes made can't be blamed on the players, because other programs have the same types of players, and you NEVER see such boneheaded management.

Thanks for the memories, but it's time for everything Bowden to go. Getting paid huge sums of money to make a program worse every year for 8 straight years doesn't cut it. FSU is a 4th rate team in its own state for several years now. And it all starts at the top [the Boosters and sport management unable or unwilling to do anything].

O.K., O.K. I predicted a 38-10 'Nole win. That's why I don't bet. Last spring I thought we'd be 2-1 heading into CO game. The 1st games seduced me. We will be O.K. QB's need to settle down, the talent is there. Defense is good. Offense line needs to cath up. Don't get upset.

Whoever put that for sale in Bowden's yard after the Miami loss last year needs to put it back in his yard again!

Hey Capt Ben, do you still think Bowden is a born again christian after using foul language at halftime to describe his teams performance? What kind of christlikeness does this show children and others? And how come Bowden never takes responcibility for his teams poor play or praise the other teams play?

With your spelling and grammar skills, I too would be "embarrassed" to be an alumnus from FSU.

Hey FSU bashers get a life. We were not at full strength but will be next week. I am excited the defense played so well. Before you order a coffin for FSU try to remember that we were playing a team of seniors some 5th year. BB said there should be at least five in the NFL with the next draft. I am a FSU grad class of '63 and can remember when we didn't have a snow balls chance but we are still here and thriving. Go Noles Go McCain/Palin God Bless the USA. I hope all true Nole fans will read past the posts that come from hateful hearts....Lets support our team and continue to pray for contests without serious injury to the players. God is able if we believe.
