Cowboys: Romo knew it was 4th down

Full story: El Paso Times

Tony Romo really can count to four, at least the Dallas Cowboys say so. A video shot on Sunday by KDFW shows Romo holding up three fingers following a fourth-down incompletion that sealed Dallas' loss to Denver on Sunday.

He cussed in frustration after realising it was the 4th down. The PR team spinned some tales to save the embarrassment.

Loser.

It just amazes me just how little football knowledge you people have.

After the 4th down play their was only ONE second left on the clock.

That being said what could your point possibly be?

Lets say he did think it was third down....

So what, he was waiting till 4th down to use a better play and/or try harder, What exactly?

You guys are just nuts.

Lets say he did think it was 3rd down.

Who gives a crap, he made a perfect pass that went right thru the hands of Sam Hurd.

The bottom line is with only one second left on the clock after that play, Romo had to figure going in to that last play that it very well may be the last play of the game anyway.

3rd down, 4th down, whatever it wouldnt matter.
If that play took 1 more sec the game is over anyway.

Now since you guys have the football knowledge of a 4 year old, let me bring to light the real problem with those last two plays.

Why on earth do you run a play designed for Sam Hurd one on one vs. one of the best cover corners in the game (champ bailey).

The problem with Dallas is Romo needs help developing in to a better QB, and Garrett is certainly not the answer.

Sounds like you're the football idiot. 3rd down, 4th down, whatever it wouldn't matter? Maybe the stupidest thing I've heard today, if a 3rd down pass is incomplete with one second left you have one more shot, pass, run or play action whatever you choose to score the TD. I'd say that's a huge difference.

O.K.
Please learn how to read.

My point was real simple.

The play was called to score a TD.

Not to have an incomplete pass, and hope their is ONE second left on the clock to than run a better play and/or try harder on a possible 4th down.

Romo knowing or not knowing if it was third or fourth down meant nothing.

A perfect pass was made, and it went right thru the hands of Sam Hurd.

You guys act like if Romo thought it was 4th down he would of done what differently?....

The same play would of been called.(from the sidelines)
The same pass would of been made (perfect pass by the way).
And the same horrible WR would of let it go thru his hands.

If Hurd could catch Dallas wins the game, and what down Romo thought it was wouldn't matter.

Now I understand it takes a little advanced thinking to understand what I'm saying... But please try.

I'll make it real simple for you, if he didn't know if it was 3rd or 4th down he was as confused as you.

Roy Williams has not amounted to much of a no#1 wide receiver thus far...The only thing that's constant as far on the offense side of the ball is the run game, and with Felix Jones unable to play, the Cowboys don't have much of that either. No disrespect to Marion Barber, but he's most effective when he's sharing running responsibilities, and so negates having TE Witten having to be doubled teamed.

The Cowboys must make the playoffs this year...No sense in me posting them having to win a playoff game when they may end up with a below 500 winning record.

You guys are so funny.

You act like he has played in what exactly?
5, 10 playoff games?

The guys has played in TWO playoff games, in three years as a starter.

Look up Eli Mannings first couple years in the league/playoffs, and lets talk after.

I bet you are the same person all over these boards blasting Eli Manning calling him a bum as well, after his first two playoff games.

Or better yet.

I bet you are the same person calling Peyton Manning a bum because he couldn't beat N.E.

LOL.

Last thing.

QB's don't win playoff games.
Teams win playoff games.

You can have Trent Dilfer Super Bowl Champ.

I'll take Dan Marino.

I looked up both Mannings. They are better than I am. Thanks for rubbing it in.

Daily Horoscope for November 29

Cancer

If you've been troubled lately, now's the time to seek a friend's counsel. Even just a little tea and sympathy will be nice, so plan to have lunch with someone simpatico. Everyone needs to spend a little time with someone who won't judge them; Cancer is often wonderful at giving this sort of unconditional affection but often has a harder time seeking it out. Accept a little TLC... you need it now.
