he just needs to go pro. were not going to the national championship. might as well get some experience under the belt of the redshirt. we would be one step ahead of texas and florida next year if we just left him in to finish the season

What a shocker! They had to put him out there so Chokelahoma can salvage their season. They will beat Baylor, lose to Texas and maybe, win out the rest of the season and go to a decent bowl game and, in usual Overrated University form, lose! "Not So Big Game Bob" will go to 4-7 in bowl games....This has been one of the best football seasons yet!

Sooner fans have concern for him too. Not sure if maybe you were implying that all we care about is winning the game, even at the expense of a players health, but that's what it sounds like you are trying to say... Not true I say. I don't care if it's a Texas player. I don't want any of them to get hurt.

Not wishing bad luck on Sam or the team, it's too soon for him to return. I pray he doesn't get hurt worse than before....

Fight on Trojans?!? Seriously, you wanna go with that? Already one loss and they're always good for a mid-season upset at the hands of a PAC-10 also-ran. So I guess it's easier to bag on OU than show love to "your team" that won't be in the BCS title game either. The clock you hear ticking is the precious time that is left between now and when USC goes on probation. Hmmm, a Trojan fan...hmmm...cheating...don't tell me: you're a Jenks fan too, right?

WRONG!

Since Sam Bradford is very smart and making A grades, he needs to follow through with his educational plan and get his Bachelor's degree before going pro.

And since he is a role model not just for European-American Children but for Native-American's, too, and is Cherokee, he's doing the right thing by staying in school.

Oklahoma University was NOT built around a previously created amateur football team. It was established to be a higher education institution.

Colleges and universities really don't need athletic programs. But, the reason that some athletes go to college is to be scouted by the pros.

In my opinion, pro scouts should leave college athletes alone until they are 2nd semester seniors.

From what I understand, Sam Bradford is a walk-on and not on an athletic scholarship. That would mean he didn't go to OU to be a football star; he went there for an education.

I'll agree with you Joe on all points except that the college & universities need the football team & (basketball teams at some schools) to generate money for the other sports at the school, along with building their educational departments. I grew up around Norman & believe me during the down years of the football program (1989-1998) not much progress was made on campus, but since the last championship year (2000) you would not believe the updating & building that has been made to the campus.

Wow. A USC fan (USC chokes annually against really crappy teams like Washington this year) calls OU "Chokelahoma". Pot, kettle, black, pal. Get a good QB. While you're at it, get running backs who won't drop barbells on their throats.
