The NFL suspended Green Bay Packers defensive end Johnny Jolly without pay for the upcoming season and perhaps beyond for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Full Story

Why did it take 2 years to suspend this player? Is this more of the NFL's picking and choosing which player and when and which team? A few years ago when the Vikings were in the playoffs and the pack needed to win against the Vikings, the NFL officials made 9 bad or missed calls in the last 11 minutes of the game. The announcers were shocked at the officiating and stated their disgust until they were told to not comment on the officiating. The next morning by 9:00 am the NFL issued an official apology. Since that game I realized why the players say its just a business. If it were a game the NFL would be cited for point shaving.

Packer fans, what a bunch of listless dweebs.
They can talk all day about OUR QB, but when one of there own gets his teat in a wringer, we get silence.

It's called intestinal fortitude, a phenomenon unknown in cow country.

WWC and Jolly, nice comparison by the pigseye bridge troll.
Do a little homework, you know, that thing your teachers told you would help break you from the cycle of welfare.

The WWC and Jolly, lol, not even in the same universe.

Chicago looks bad enough the way it is, you certainly aren't helping their cause.

There is really nothing to talk about, the guy got what he deserves. I for one will not make excuses for someone who abuses drugs. I personally would rather see high character guys on the team. This guy has made stupid penalties, one comes to mind, that stupid head butt that prolonged a drive that the GB defense stopped at a crucial part of the game, I think you know the one I'm talking about. GB will cut ties with him and his productive playing days are over. BTW, most Packer fans knew this would happen, you act like we are supposed to be shocked.

Haven't heard from you for a while Jeremy, and my posts are not directed towards you.
Just the packer fans who camp out on our blog like jimisanidiot, new day, left buck nut, and exfavrefan.
They comment endlessly about our QB and team, but lose their tongue when a packer player gets suspended.
Bunch of hypocrites is what they are, but thanks for stopping by.

From what I read this guy is suspected of being a drug dealer or associated with a drug ring in Houston. What a POS. As a fan there's no need to have this guy on any team, well.....maybe the Cowboys.

Then you should direct it to them, when you write Packers fans, what an endless list of dweebs, it sounds generalized. There are plenty of dweeb Viking fans also.

LOL, I won't argue that point, but still Jeremy, you show up here once in a blue moon. Blanket statements are so much easier than listing the 10 dweebs, lol.

He was only indicted on the drug charge last December. The NFL frequently does not fine or suspend players charged with crimes until they are convicted. This time I suppose the charges are serious enough to suspend him indefinitely.
