Me too. Obviously. Yes I think Tate will be there, unless Houston picks him. Ditto for Mathews. I think they'll take Spiller from Clemson. Most teams like to either choose a skill guy or at least someone who'll play right away in Round 1 because of the money. That's why the Harrel pick was such a puzzler in 07. A tackle who isn't going to start is pricey. You could take a Charles Brown, but I doubt he's gonna beat out the vets. So you're looking at $4 million-a-year backup who's learning, not covering kickoffs, etc. I'd lean towards taking a CB like the guys I mention above. I'm pretty sure one of them could step right in and either start or play nickle. If Pat Lee emerges, then you can move Woodson around based on the situation. Jared Odrick would be an interesting pick and could play DE in the 3-4. He's very quick and can get after the QB. As for backup QB, to me Kafka is a lot like Chad Henne. Zac Robinson is extremely accurate and a good athlete like both Aaron and Matt.

I still like Charles Brown.Yes, a first round pick sitting for a year or 2 to learn, bulk up ect, but, after a year more of Clifton and maybe a strike or whatever or after 10 Brown could be a LT for a decade,so why not let him sit and learn a year as the 23rd pick he wont cost a lot compared.
a good corner, safety, depth at LB can be had in early rounds as well ( 2-4 round) and o lineman can be had in mid=late rounds and be effective for many years,Tauscher was a 7th,Adam Timmerman was a 7th round pick as well and more.

Why not move up and get a tackle who can start then? The 23rd pick last year was Michael Oher. He makes just shy of $4 million, 8 million guaranteed. If Brown can start, yeah, take him. Oher played right away. Maybe Brown can. I like Brown too, but I'm not sure I want to pay that for him to bulk up for 2 years, when McCourty would play right out of the gate--I promise you. I really think Mathews is a solid pick.
