ENOUGH ABOUT HIM!!!!!! You'd think he's the only player on the team!!!! What about the offensive & other defensive players?? If nobody was there to block the opposing team or to catch his passes, where would they be!!

Wow, Tom, no hyperbole here! <cough, cough>

You're so right: the travels of three brave men across the universe to touch a distant star for the first time in human history were watched with nearly the same anticipation as one aging, narcissistic athlete traveling in a private jet cross country to yank our collective chains for the umpteenth time. What a great parallel! I'm so glad we have you here to draw it!

(Did you feel that thrill up your leg today? It's was your history teacher weeping.)

Listen, football is a primitive sport where you need a good QB to in win the NFL. That's how it's become.

If you have great players and no QB, it does not matter, you won't win the superbowl. Just ask the Steelers or Vikings.

This will be Favre's last year.

The world does not revolve around anything but the sun... in other words, if you don't like it, or don't care about it, don't read the article - and for the love of God, unless you want to look extra foolish, don't comment on the story! DOH! I guess that would have been good advice to give before you posted. Just messing with you,

but honestly, this is just fun, diversionary stuff - everyone needs a break from the serious, dramatic or heartbreaking news that we normally read on a day in, day out basis.

Peace!

The guy's a walking gold mine.
Ziggy could pay him 50 million and still laugh all the way to the bank.
Not only did we steal the best QB gb ever had, we stole their wallet too.

Good for you Tom Powers, welcome to the Viking fan base!

"His arrival also gives Vikings fans a reason to rejoice and to dream. Favre supplied plenty of entertainment in 2009. And his arrival will cause a great wailing and gnashing of teeth in Wisconsin, where the majority of Packers fans again will claim that they no longer care one whit about Brett Favre yet will wake up with tear-soaked pillows almost every morning"

So, Brett (and football) isn't for everyone. It's a great day in Minnesota for Vikings fans! Everyone is where they should be for the start of football season! Awesome!

I like sports as much as the next guy, but I have to agree....this fascination, this breathless hero worship is tiresome. The guy threw an interception instead of running the ball to end the season for us, for crying out loud. Minnesota, get a grip. I find this shameless man-worship embarrassing.

We have no chance of winning without him, since Klink can't accept reality with Jump Pass and Sage, but one still has to shake their head at the whole "culture of accountability" BS Childress fed us when he first took over. I'm glad Favre's back, but it's a poorly led organization that has such broad exceptions to the rules. Sure will be interesting to see how long Klink stays employed in MN after Favre's gone.
