It's time you get over the "Retirement" of Favre. It is old news, really old news. If your talking about the previous link there was a lot left out. It was condensed as to not make Favre look bad. Now move on and quit following me around. What I want you to know is I will post or not post to what I want to. You do the same, but in your spare time find the true answer about Favre and you will know that when he retired the 1st time he wanted to play for the Vikings. It took a good year and a half before he did it and then he screwed up the chance to win a superbowl. It couldn't get any better than that.
All I did was read the link you provided. Too bad you didnt. Maybe you should read a link to make sure it doesnt refute the argument youre trying to make. Im in Southern CA....(Pacific time) and you accused me of not having a life for posting at the same time of night you posted here? So do you also have no life or are you just a hypocrite?

You guys said most of the first things I thought the only thing Ill add is the stats and a few crazy other things. Let me lay this out for you Green Bay fans so you can understand like a small child. In case you didnt realize...before Brett Favre won the Super Bowl you hadnt won one in 29 years. We are now 14 years past that, now thats 43 years ago so unless youre 53 years old you never celebrated a Super Bowl Victory that Brett Favre didnt win for you. While he was there you had 11 playoff appearances including 7 division championships, 2 super bowl appearances and 1 super bowl win. Do you understand how many teams have done that? And he did all this with a mediocre team at best because he played in Green Bay Wisconsin. If he had played with a handful of other teams in the second half of his career he would have had a better career right now. Thanks for ruining a legend you stooges. What have you guys done since he left? One appearance? How did that go? Oh yea I remember...Green Bay Packers were sitting at home watching Brett Favre and the Vikings playing in the NFC Championship game. If I say youre ingrates its because Ive put alot of thought into the situation at thats just the way I see it.
WIth all due respect,if you put alot of thinking into it,you realy missed the boat IMO.Mediocre team at best? Are you kidding me?
Keith Jackson,Andre Rison to go with Freeman and RB LEvens,Bennett and WIlliam Henderson at FB and one of the better defenses you will see,IF ANYTHING Green Bay SHOULD HAVE WON MORE THEN 1 Super Bowl. You are entitled of course to your opinion, but,IMO you missed the boat on this one and quite badly.

Yep, Green Bay fielded some awesome teams-

However, "Give it up" steadfastly refuses to argue in a sane manner- thus she attracts scorn-

I have no idea what your problem is but the link I provided you was a link written by a Local reporter from Milwaukee and what he did was leave out the crap that happened. His timeline was right excluding the happenings of Favres retirement. So much happened that it would have taken up the whole paper. There was no need to add that to his time line. I will tell you Favre knew his last year playing for the Packers he wanted to go to the Vikings as that was the rumor. Now why would he print that. Of course at that time it wasn't proven but now we know that is where he wanted to go. Can you understand that the Packer organization didn't want their Franchise quarterback to go to a divisional team. Favre retired. His retirement is on YouTube and if you see that Video you would think by the way he presented it he was really going to retire. Of course now we knew that wasn't true. Then traded to the Jets with a lot of stipulations. He played, he got hurt and then again it was retirement time. With the Jets holding his contract they could do what they wanted. Of course they wanted him to come back but they gave him his release. If the Jets had traded him the Jets would have to give up a lot of draftspicks. He had shoulder surgery, I know that for sure because Dr. Andrews was on a TV show I was watching and he explained Favre's surgery. Favre recovered. He was free from the Jets and the Packers. Out of retirement he came and went to the Vikings. You figure it out if your so smart. I have been a Packer Fan for many years and yes I was around for the 1st two. In fact I have been around since the Packers trained in Bemidji Minnesota. Why do you think someone from Minnesota that has gone through all of that can become a Viking Fan? I still have my faculities. I worked for 50 years. I am not senile. I am a true Packer Fan and I stand by the decision that they made. We now have a proven quarterback that all fans hope he can take the Packers to the Superbowl. He is young and smart. He might sometimes be a little reckless but all quarterbacks are like that, as you well know, and take chances when they think they will work. The Packers and Bears have been in this league since the beginning the Vikings quite a bit later. Anything else.

I really didnt get into the defense as that goes without saying and we are on a Viking board so i thought id keep it brief, but, true CHmura as well and a very good oline.truth is the Packers should have beaten Denver and got there in 98 when Owens made that TD catch int he last few seconds

For once I agree....It's been a bad one. Lots of injuries. Is that the reason they want to change preseason to only 2 games? I am for that.

I'd like to see preseason dumped- maybe adding two games to the regular season-

DONE DEAL IN 2012-League will go to a 18 game schedule-owners will insist and give the players what they need to prevent a stoppage-2 game pre-season, limit the mandatory camps, increase the roster, post career health care for players decreased from 3 to 2 years, HGH testing mandatory, rookie wage sliding scale, and fans are watchin' football.

You are correct Eric, GB was a big favorite over Denver. The feel good story of Elway won out.
You are pretty confident with that team this year, more so than I remember from last year. It's all right, as long as Minnesota is just a bit better.
Right around the corner NFL regular season, happy Labor Day.

There are some questions, they MUST develop a better pass rush or the Favres,Brady's of the world will throw on them like last year,If they can develop a better pass rush,i like their chances a hell of a lot more then i did last year, although last year they werent expected and were able to sneak up,this year, not quite so much!
you are right,as long as your team is a bit better, 1 game better is all you need,or even the tie breaker will do it as well.
I think we both know our teams and each others teams and their strengths and weaknesses,so no its who can expose thier opponents weaknesses and those with the better game plan and can exacute that plan will win it! Best of luck to you and your fellow Viking fans, opening kickoff IS right around the corner!
Happy labor day to you and your family and my best of health to you!
