Amazing what people can do when they are sober. I think there is lack of control in the Bears organiztion. Something needs to change.

It won't be long until he gets arrested again and kicked off the Bengals too.

write about the Bears you imbecile

"i wasn't intoxicated in those situations" said Ced Benson. What? He hasn't learned a friggin thing.
Gee the Bears should contact the Bengal drug dealers to find out what stuff is working on Sir Cedric these days.
Benson did show some promise in a bears uniform. Problem is, he was a poor pass catcher and a below average blocker.
But I'm not surprised he's bounced back. Chicago likes to whine and bitch like a little girl....hoping that the player turns out good. |

Too little, too late. Let's see how he and the Bengals do against contending teams. They won 2 in a row and Cleveland was one of those wins. The week before they beat a very inconsistant Redskins team. C'mon back to Chicago Ced, let's go out and play!

Some of you guys are just vindictive. The situations with the alcohol were made a bigger deal because he's an athlete. I wish him the best in getting his life together, as I do everyone. More positivity. One love.

I'll take Forte over Benson any day.

Read the article, genius. He was acquitted of all charges in the two incidents where intoxication was alleged. |
Correction..a young, black athlete |

Bengals are not really considered a "character" team. Not surprised Benson is their new leader. Good luck Ced!

The offense is blocking better for Forte than they did for Benson. That must be it, right?
....or maybe Forte is just quicker to the holes that are there...and were there for Benson...and actually wants to BE a Bear. His rushing average still sucks. I'm not sure why Pompei felt this was a 'story.' However, I hope the Bengals do extend his contract because I'm not much of a Bengals fan. |

It took a while to knock him off of his ivory tower.
Chicago never saw a great player |

Easy to be bitter as a Bears fan, but I wish him the best of luck.

Drafting Benson was a disastrous use of the 4th overall pick by Jerry Angelo especially considering that he had just signed Thomas Jones to a long term contract a year or so earlier.
As long as the Bears are run by a group of second rate managers and coaches such as Angelo, Smith, Turner and Babich the results will always be second rate on the field. The Bears are who we thought they were! |
you are spot on Angelo is a mediocre GM, i used to believe that he was a defensive draft guru, but after the organization letting go of BAZUIN & OKWO that theory is out of the window, no body can claim that Bears as a franchise are structurally as sound as Patriots,Colts or Giants, & to rub the salt in the wounds they are substantially under the CAP!!! |
Cedric was screwed from the get go because of players, especialy Jones, who were jealous of his rookie contact and the dumb ass media. I wish Angelo would have waited for the results of the bogus charges against Benson before cutting him. We would be sooo much better with Forte and Benson running the ball. Nobody can argue the fact that Matt is going to be toast if we keep running him as much as we have. Benson would have been a great alternative similar to what the Giants have.

Sometimes you have to see the flames before you smart enough to avoid getting burned.

.
There's obviously much more to coaching a team than drawing X's and O's with chalk. Too bad the Bears management doesn't know that. . |
