This is a huge loss for the NFL, as a Pats fan we always looked forward to the Colts games and watching Manning, he's a true master at QB. I really hope he recovers and can return to playing if not this year then next year.

Wow... a classy Pats fan on a message forum? I don't see a lot of that.
I felt the same way when Brady went down a couple years ago.
Colts/Pats has become a classic rivalry, but when one team is missing it's franchise player, it's not as exciting.
Collins is a solid game manager, and with the weapons he has around him, the Colts should still be a good football team this year, but it won't be the same without #18 under Center.

I'm sure there's hardly a true football fan anywhere who doesn't feel terrible about Peyton's injury. A horrible loss for the game.

Hey thanks for the compliment, we're the silent minority out here in NE, but we do exist :) I've not watched much Colt preseason football how's that QA Painter developing?

He's not... lol
Painter migh be the most hated man in Indianapolis since Spike Lee.
We picked up Kerry Collins, and it looks like he will get the start against Houston.
I'll tell you who to watch. Delone Carter. He's a RB from Syracuse, and was the Colts 4th round pick this year.
He has looked really good in pre-season. He is a hard-hitting, smash-mouth type runner who hits the hole hard and pushes the pile for extra yards.

How are the Pats looking this year?

Kerry Collins will fart his way to the end zone if he has to.

They look pretty good, they picked up some veterans who can bring experience to the team and to school the youngsters. They appear (on paper) to have a much better defense then they've had in years, but as always the proof is in the pudding. They have not had a decent pass rush in quite some time and it really hurt them in the play offs. They also got a couple of exciting running backs in the draft Steven Ridley, and Shane Vereen, they both had a decent preseason but we'll see. Great talking football with you good luck to you and your Colts. Enjoy the season!

This is an unmitigated disaster of epic proportions. At least Dallas Clark will be healthy. Why oh why couldn't they have done the surgery immediately after the end of last season.
