Must be a mistake - I don't think Edwards has been that close to a QB all season.

This league is really quite curious, at times. I saw Edwards in the air, clearly having beaten his OL opponent, heading for the QB as is his job. The QB's head appeared to unintentionally move toward the space that Edwards' arm was occupying, and thus some contact ensued. Nothing serious, and at the time I did not think it was a penalty. I thought it was a fantastic play by the DE. So he gets a huge fine (same as last year, similar circumstances) and the Lions guy who hits venerable old Favre in the head gets nothing? What a joke....

This actually makes me like Edwards all the more. The roughing the QB call was bogus, anyway. Edwards was moving in for a clean hit when Hill got hit first from the opposite side, pushing him into Edwards. I like that killer attitude. Hopefully he unleashes it on Karen Rodgers.

Oh and don't worry about Rodgers ... you'd better be more concerned about what madman Matthews is gonna do to grandpappy at Lambeau in a few weeks ... that is if he survives his trip to New York next week ...

WHATEVER from Las Vegas has this one right, on the Edwards play (pushed) - and call. Regarding the Puker fan above, Matthews is INSANELY overrated - when you play LB in the 3-4 you can line up and blitz from anywhere, so your options are HUGE - in a 4-3 this blow hard would be ever so average (his father was a great player - junior is nowhere NEAR that level. Pukerland fans need a hero - he has become that hero for the moment). Vikes have same OL basically (- Hicks) as last year - played Pukers twice and Matthews did zip - see you in a few weeks. Enjoy Williams bros and Allen while we're there, versus your joke offensive line that can't stop a defensive lineman without holding. Actually, NO - every hold (Bears game) was replayed on TV and NONE of the analysts, during or post game thought the calls were bad or questionable - what they did say after the game was that the Pukers OL problems can't be fixed this season and will be a problem until the last week. We like your elite running backs - Jackson and John KUHNS (a sluggish, no-cut fb McCarthy wants to make half back - that's a good one. Please, Mike do that;-)

Why the praise for Lewis having the one catch........ Is that why Klink has him as a starter even though he has been in the league eight years and only averages 10 catches , with less tha one touchdown per year. And as for those whining that it is Favre's fault that Berrian does not do more........ look at Berrians stats for all his seven years. He is no better than a number two receiver, and on many teams, he would be the number three.

Favre takes more cheap shots than any that our defense hands out. Actually I would like to see our players go after QB's on teams that are diving into the knees of Favre, and swinging at his head.

You better worry about Rodger's, I know real GB fans are concerned, without a run game he will be more of a target. Short passing game doesn't replace the run game, hell the Bears really weren't even putting a lot of guys up on the line and trying to clog it and you guys couldn't find the lanes. And 'fer crissakes get some new material moron, you have been saying Favre isn't gonna last each game since the season started, you sound like a retarded parrot, I bet your dad was throwing chunks of granite at the stork when it delivered you. I can admit that I have my worries about this Vike team, at least in the passing game, I do not believe they can get back to the champ. game or win this division unless the passing game improves.

Ouch; ten grand. I thought Edwards' play was fair and the roughing call unwarranted. That's how it is with penalties: it's essentially a crapshoot what will be called and when they'll call it. The refs used to warn the players a few times before calling holding, for example. Do they still do that now, or do they wait for a big play happens in order to deflate the crowd? Who knows? Skol Vikings.

I have a suggestion about Favre's ankle . why not fit him with some kind of a "boot" whatever to help him regain his confidence if it is true like LaCanflora reported that he is concerned about someone rolling over or hitting his ankle. seems to have affected the way he plays. team medics should be able to come up with something to help the guy. O-line doesn't do their job and if he takes a big hit and his ankle gets BROKEN then the entire team will suffer a season ending injury. let us see if the genius coaches are going to address this issue or just let him continue to throw ints. Favre needs more than injections to help this ankle. He needs someone to look at how to insure protection for this ankle so his mechanics will be back and he will throw with confidence . I say a call to Dr. Andrews should be next before the JETS game. what do you say Vikings? the time is now . don't remain in lala land or you won't be in Texas and will remain in Vikings "wonderland".

I know I posted on this same topic a day or two ago; "Ray Edward's fined $10,000 for forearm to head of QB." I'm getting old, I can't remember if was in the Press, or Tribune, or both, but what I know is, the article is no where in either paper's column. If censored, I have no idea why.
