I asked myself is it worth it to pay for DirectTV to watch this team? A continuance of seemingly inept playcalling, drive killing penalties, dropped balls, poor reads, missed blocks. Its either bad coaching or poor talent evaluation.

Rarely after a win have I gone from down to apathetic about this team. Like watching someone on life support, after a while you just hope it ends.

I have been a Vikings fan my whole life and have, like other fans, weathered the storm through some frustrating seasons/ times. But this is by far the worst! The team has lost its heart and soul; they are merely going through the motions and deserve better from an owner. You need to know a couple of things about the Mid West that apparently you have yet to learn. First and foremost this is not New York! We are not brash outspoken people that will attack on a whim, nor are we fair weather fans. When we speak our mind better listen, we mean what we say.
Understand this, Chilly is not for us nor does he reflect our philosophy of hard work team effort. Remember coaches, owners, and players all come and go but the fan base is here forever; with the exception of death.
For the team to survive finically you need the fans to support the team. Also, understand this, while we do enjoy winning it is not everything; we also acknowledge hard work and teamanship as well, which this team sorely lacks.(Please see MN Twins) Please note that these qualities are derived from the coach and his staff; and it is clear to us, this is not the case.
This country is going through tough times and who wants to spend money to watch a team who has neither heart nor soul. Fans know the only way to get an owner to listen is to attack their pocketbook. So, unless Chilly is gone by the end of this season, better get ready for a big hit on the old pocketbook. The fans will not continue to spend their hard earned money watching a dysfunctional team. You will not fill the stands, say goodbye to the local TV revenue, not to mention merchandise monies as well.
With this said I want to take a moment to thank you for spending money on this team like no other owner has done in the past. We do appreciate this, and acknowledge this from you. However, please return the respect back to this team by providing us with a proven winner for a coach!
in agree with you great comment i hope he reads your blog good one

I hate Tom Powers critisism of Childress and Wilf. I get plenty P.O.'d too with watching the offense, and I wish I could see more big plays. Is Childress throwing the ball? Is he opening up the holes for the running game? and Isn't Darrel Bevell calling the offensive play's at the moment? We were all screaming to let Bevell call more plays in year one and now that he has been and we still aren't exactly happy with the performance we forget it's Bevell calling the plays. Didn't Greenbay's offense and Favre's play both stink a little during Bevell's time there? Hasn't Favre resurected his career with a different cordinator the last few years? It seems like you just love to hate Childress for whatever reason you can think of. You have to take the good with the bad. Those weren't the good ol day's with McCombs and Tice either. I was still eating tums like skittles back then too. If I wasn't thinking about how Tice couldn't keep the team in line and accountable for their actions off the field; I was thinking about McCombs desire to relocate the team to San Antonio. Wilf has the desire to win and you can see it in his body language. McCombs had a desire to make a profit and thats about it. I'm sure Wilf does too, but at least he doesn't shove it down our throats and talk about it non-stop such as McCombs.
Well, in some aspects I agree with you. But what I do know, because I've seen it with my own eyes, is Childress holding the laminated card (the one with 3 plays on it) under his shnozz, and chewing on the mic. That tells me that he's calling plays. Watch Bevell. He's NOT doing it. BOTH of them are talking with QB's, WR, & TE's when the defense is on the field. And that, my friend, speaks volumns to me: Childress is calling plays.- But either way, and regardless, the offensive play calling $u{ks the high hard one.

Interestingly enough, I think one of three things will happen: 1) Childress will be gone, & Bevell along with him. When? I don't know. Frazier as interim coach. 2) A totally new coach, from the outside, at the end of season. 3)(This one s**ks) Childress convinces Wilf that it's all Bevell's fault, and TJax just didn't work out, retains his job, and it's another season of reading anti-Klink crapola on here.

The "O" line's pretty stinky. I like the guy, but Matty B. ain't what he used to be. Cook, sometimes is/usually isn't very good in his position. Jim Kleinsasser isn't used right, and his great potential is wasted. Hutch is real good. McKinney seems somewhat improved.(Must see his job slipping away) Shiancoe "seems" to be improving. Which is good. Because he seemed like he was about as useless as titts on a bull most of his time here. Berrian is starting to look better now. With all due respect to Gus, they need a blue chip QB here. And defense? Nearly the only thing keeping The Vikes in games.

When it comes to coaching, just once, I would like to hear."I was wrong, I could have called a better play." Instead, hearing some players apologizing for their mistakes on a weekly basis. They can't be wrong all the time. Someone other than them should be taking some resposibility for the outcome of the game.

His point is, there is a real world beyond your TV set. You take this stuff WAAAY to seriously..do think those palyers give a rats behind about you loyal fanactism? No they don't. The laugh all the way to the bank and will still laugh when they are still making big money and your trailer house in East Tempe is being towed away. There are a million bad things in the world that could use your passion instead of a stupid game. Maybe your teacher could help you find a new hobby. I hear marching band is fun..then you can still be close to your football fantasy

I can't join you until Nov. 30th Vikes/Bears on Sunday night, but look for the guy in the alternate black #26 Winfeild home jersey to be joining in.... hopefully our misery can end after this season and Zygi hires a competetant coaching staff.

In all the years of watching the Vikings, I can't remember one time that after a win I'm so F'n mad! That was really tough to watch.
I posted yesterday before the game that I had a bad feeling the game would turn out like that, and they did exactly what I said and played to the level of their competition. Shameful.
Oh you total drips@%t!!! I said last week these losers were going to lose and your dumb%ss was the only person who gave me c r a p about it. Remember? I also said if they did win it would be a very close game. Idiot old people just need to go to their promised land.

Your head coach and owner are completely incompetent. I look forward to kickin' your butts for the next several years. I love Childress!!! Don't worry Ziggy he'll turn it around he just needs some more time.

It's hard to be a Vikings fan
because they're not so great
I'd rather cut off my right hand
and mental masterbate
Each year they say we're much improved
just trust us one more time
Like Charley Brown I try again
and fall for Lucy's line
But every year more of the same
they're just a bunch of losers
But then I think what can I do?
Hey, beggars can't be choosers
So off I go with my high hopes
while the Vikes run willy nilly
They've not a clue of what to do
Surprised? They're coached by Chilly
He says he has a problem
with a lousy quarterback
But when it comes to losing
Boy, he sure has learned the knack
I swear there's not a bit of brains
just "bald" between his ears
No matter what he does it's lame
so have a few more beers
It's hard to be a Vikings fan
I'm sure that you'll regret it
And if you're thinking Super Bowl
You might as well forget it.
that's fantastic...lmao

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Scorpio

Self-worship is easy and obvious, today. The real prize is when you turn from the mirror to see that others think just as highly of you. Take in all this love and amazement, and store some away for lean times in the future. Someone may give you an unexpected compliment later in the day, but don't let them know that it caught you off guard. After all, you still have your reputation as an egomaniac to uphold!
