Minnesota Vikings' Percy Harvin healthy and happy to be back on...

Full story: TwinCities.com

When Percy Harvin missed rookie training camp earlier this month, naysayers immediately assumed the worst about the first-round pick from Florida.

A bit of an overlooked subject in light of Favre-mania and Harvin but the O-line could be a real beast this year with lots of good versitile backups. Every great team starts with a great line, on both sides of the ball. I wonder how much those guys eat.

"I didn't worry about that," said Harvin,(in response to what people said about his "deydration and virus" episode).

No, of couse he didn't. The money's already coming in. Let's hope he lives up to the Chillmeister's expectations. As for Jackson and his comment about having "...a new toy..." Absurd. Jackson needs to focus on playing football, not with new toys. He's not a Tonka truck, Tkgartner. Get out there and treat him like a man, a football player.

I hate to tell ya, but the money is not coming in, yet. He has not signed a contract. First round picks are the last to sign contracts. Rookie signing won't start til the summer. And you're right, he's not a Tonka truck. He's a remote control Lamborgini. Flashy and goes real fast.

If he wants the ball delivered on target (not way over his head, behind him, or late - picked off) during the season, he better pray for a quarterback.

Cook at center?? Nice job resigning Birk, with all your faith in Sullivan. Please just sign Winfield and get him taken care of.

If The Vikings would've gotten Cutler, had a different coach, a different "O" co-ord., and Harvin was Ward Cleaver, people would STILL find a reason to b!t(h and whine about something. They're NOT going to change HC's because we don't like him, we're probably NOT going to have anything different for QBs unless Barf Frog comes here,(a "definate maybe") and most of us smoked dope, and some still do, anyway.- Maybe Harvin really was sick. Maybe he just went out and got drunk on his as-s. Who the hell knows? They're better than last season, it would seem. And last year they were better than any of the other teams in the division. I'd rather just see myself how they REALLY DO look before I start judging any of them, or the team as a whole. I just know that Madieu Williams wasn't in at the start last season, and kept getting better and better. J. Allen was new, and kept getting better and better. We had the best Defense in the Division for sure despite that. And both of those guys PLUS EJ will be there, at the start with the Williams Wall. That spells out best defense to me. Another post commented about the "O" line already. GB starting a "new" defense doesn't exactly say they're gonna be all that great. And Cutler barely has a target. So those teams don't have any "dissing rights" at this point. The season hasn't started. And because of the way last season ended, right now THEY'RE WORSE.

Wow, it's amazing that you can see into the future. Are you speaking from experience on this whole ghetto/thug theory. I have no such insight, but just the same I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since it was his first offense and hope that he sees the light about what he has to lose if he continues his "ghetto" ways.

Harvin might be good or great in his career but overall the odds are stacked against him having an impact in his first season their are few WRs who figure out NFL offenses the first year and the Vikings lack of a quality QB does not help the situation.

Chilli is so full of ... "competition at the tackle spot". Please don't insult us. Until your hitting people (which I believe you don't in OTA's) there is no "competition" at the line spot. It always humors me when TJ tries to talk like a big shot QB. Much like when Chilli tries to talk like a big shot Head coach (out thinking the NE coach in the draft).

Actually, that's true. I'm with you on that one. But, sometimes a rare one comes around that can make an ordinary QB look good right from the get-go.(Like R. Moss did Culpepper)

Yeah, I hear ya. There's not exactly a $h!t load of competition during organized grab as-s. Those two are a good example of walk the walk BEFORE you talk the talk.
