Chung takes dream course

Patrick Chung was so lightly recruited out of Rancho Cucamonga High School that former Oregon football coach Mike Belotti labeled him "the steal of the century" after the Ducks lured him with little competition.

My son and I had an opportunity to talk to Patrick Chung after the 2006 Cal/Oregon game in Berkeley. Never have I been so impressed with a football player as this young man. He is gracious, speaks well, very humble in addition to being one very talented football player ( totally unlike the babbling, egomaniac, druggies, rapists, robbers and cop fighting idiots from USC). Patrick Chung is a quality person on and off the field - a REAL role model for todays High School football players. His parents have a lot to be proud of - mostly for the outstanding man they raised, and as an Oregon fan living in Upland, I am proud of Patrick too!!! Stay healthy Pat and I look forward to watching you play in the NFL!...and THANK YOU for everything you did to help us remember Todd Doxey - I'm sure he'll be looking after you too!
