DE JA VU MANNINGS DOES IT AGAIN...
Hey as a diehard BEARS fan all I can say to all of you PATS' fans out there... In the words of President Clinton (Bill that is...not Hillary) I FEEL YOUR PAIN! But, not so much...
CHICAGO BEARS were in the same position as the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS a year ago. Now, of course Bears season was not nearly as historical and decorative...But, the Bears were the TEAM TO BEAT!
And, they were the SUPERSTARS and just like last year there was that other MANNING (Payton that is... not Eli) that handed "the favorite" and "the team to beat" their asses on a platter!
I've spent the last two weeks having a de ja vu... All I've been seeing for these past two weeks is TOM BRADY, TED BRUSCHI & RANDY MOSS (like BRIAN ERLACHER, DEVIN HESTER & THOMAS JONES) being celebrated by media, Hollywood celebrities, Vegas point spread prophets & wizards and national/local sportscasters.
Not once did anyone dare believe or suspect that the lowly, uncool, unsexy, unpopular Eli and his GIANTS (like big bro Payton and his COLTS) were on the war path!
And while they're nemesis were being preoccupied with the glitz and glamour of BECOMING football heroes; baby bro Eli following his brother's footsteps were about the REAL BUSINESS of BEING football heroes!
I told family and friends... THE GIANTS will be THE DAVID and defeat the Pats!
Reason being, just like last year... When I can see ACCESS HOLLYWOOD give all their devotion to the SUPER HOT BRADY and not even give ELI the time of day just like they did with the SUPER COOL ERLACHER and equally ignoring PAYTON I knew it would be the kiss of death for the Pats (just like for the Bears!)!!!!!
So, my advice...
Always place your bets on the superbowl team you wont find coverage on Access Hollywood & Entertainment Tonight!

The Bears were the team to beat? They never stood a chance against Indy. Why? Two words for ya REX GROSSMAN.

Bunch of whining losers. I'll take my "lesser team" winning the Superbowl over your prissy cheaters every time.
A LESSER TEAM?? Just ask DALLAS or GREEN BAY ABOUT THAT! Do you think New England could have won a title game in FROZEN GREEN BAY?? I think not! When the GIANTS won in GREEN BAY, I knew nothing could stop them!!

Glauber you are the greatest hypocrite since Howard Cosell. After finding all the reasons the Giants would lose you have the gall to write about the reasons they won? This article should be about what an idiot you are for saying that the giants motivated the mighty Pats with their talk and how the Giants were in for some further ass whipping because they had the audacity to believe that they would win. Sadly when the clock showed 35 seconds left it also found you racing to jump on the bandwagon of which you proudly and defiantly refused to join. The Giants won a championship you and all of your NY no nothing media buddies felt was unattainable. So don't tell me how you saw it coming or knew it was going to happen, because the previous anti-ELI and TC articles are too numerous to mention. Be a man and eat some crow like Vaccaro was willing to do, stop being a hypocrite and bandwagon jumper!

They never played the game!!!!
Why do people even listen to them? They don't know anything more about the sport than you do. They went to college and got a journalism degree. They doesn't make them experts. Making predictions about a sporting event should be outlawed. It mean nothing, and you never hear any of these media jerks ever say they were wrong. They blame someone else for their wrong prediction.

Exactly right. I read their stuff, but its no different than talking football to the guy on the next barstool.

But there are much worse writers: check out one Michael Felger, of the Boston Herald:

This was the best Super Bowl game I've seen in a long time. The Patriots had it coming....they grew over confident and they paid for it big time. They needed to be humbled and they got a giant dose of humble pie. Perhaps next year they will realize that it's not over until it's over. Never under estimate your opponet, because they just might teach you a few new things about the will to win that you never knew.

I watched the game again and it's still an amazing final drive by the Giants. All those 3rd & 4th down plays made it the best drive ever, capped off with the greatest play ever, Eli to Tyree. The TD to Burress was just to easy. I said before the game they must play mistake free but, they didn't and we still won. In reality we should have been up by at least 7 more points. If Pierce just turned around and didn't get that interference penalty they probably would have gotten a FG. And if Smith held on to that pass there wouldn't have been an INT, that was at least 3 more points. Later Burress stopped running when Eli was scrambling and was wide open, that would have gotten us in at least FG range, too. Hey, Plaxico was right we should have at least 23 points! And they should of had 10. So the BETTER team did win by over coming their own mistakes.

Good article you listed. Why is it that the Herald has a comment section where there is a numbers code to be put in to comment, but it always shows no numbers? How do we get the numbers code? Do you or anyone know?

As a lifelone Giants fan, I always thought they had a good chance to knock off the over-rated Patsies.

Then, I read trash like what that writer in the Boston Herald writes. A total joke, sour grapes, and anything else you'd like to call it...

Funny, I got no number code either. And I live in New England, so I had to listen to their whiny, arrogant Boston-accented fans for months now.

Thank you G-men, because now I just smile back. If I get really mad, I say "18-1."

One time, I put in a fake code and got through on the 2nd try. After that, It would not work. Do you think you have to get the paper over the internet?

It still wouldn't work for me. I have no clue. Maybe you have to subscribe to their paper or something.
