Raiders sacrifice running game for passing attack, pay big price

Spiraling toward their sixth consecutive losing campaign, the Raiders are trying to find something to stop the free-fall and restore faith for the final eight games of the season.

Until we get reliable WRs with reliable hands and breakaway speed, we need to devote ourselves to the running game. One of our WRs has good breakaway speed but none of them have reliable hands. Jamarcus Russell's most reliable target is TE Zach Miller and that is not enough for a decent passing game. TE is supposed to be used on short passing situations and WR is supposed to be the breakaway speedsters and deep threat playmakers. Until we get those kind of WRs we have no passing game. Maybe they're playing so poorly because they want to be sure to draft Michael Crabtree from Texas Tech. Once we get a balanced offense, our defense is decent enough to get us by, but we still need upgrades at SLB and FS.

Now this is a classic. This should be the goal for every team, to suck and continue to draft early. Whicj by the way, just does not seem to be working for the Raiders. Nice season goals they have. You are a moron.
