The NFL is very, very inconsisent in it'snjudgement of calls and reviews. They made the rule for a quarterback to slide so that he would not be creamed and taken out of a game. It takes some of the fun out of knwing it is not a fair playing field

The slide IS meant to protect QB's. But, if you've watched the film, Geathers was blocked in the back by Eddie Kennison. Geathers actually twisted in mid air to avoid a helmet to helmet hit. Green is lucky he only caught Geather's shoulder. I cringed when I saw it, just like I did when C. Palmer was dragged down in the playoffs last year and required surgery. I don't believe Von Olhoffen meant to hurt Palmer any more than I believe the hit on Green was intentional. When you play at full speed with 300 lb linemen, accidents will happen, and the result is sometimes tough to swallow.

The hit was totally legal.I love the chiefs, but it seems that every time someone comes up with a way to stop them. The other team had to have cheated. The shoulder was not what knocked Trent out. When he hit he's had on the turf thats what hurt.My problem with it all is that why was Trent outside the pocket.

The refs are never consistent in their calls. It seems like they help the other teams with some of the calls they make. Kennison's hand on Geather's didn't cause him to hit Trent five other players started to avoid Trent long before Geather's was touched by Kennison, if anything Kennison was trying to get Geather's to go out of bounds to avoid Trent all together. If it had been Brady or Manning that was hit instead of Trent you can bet there would have been flags but it was only Trent. The refs are consistent when it comes to one thing: making bad calls against the Chiefs. I think they ought to make the refs go play against teams that deliver all these illegal hits and let someone who makes bad calls like they do call the game and see if that makes them think about how bad they are the next time they let players like Geather's take cheap shots at a player who's already given up!
