Chicago going for it on 4th down will go down as Lovie's big mistake in this one. Minnesota wins big, GB loses after they thought they had it won against Carolina. Minnesota up one on Chicago, two on the packers.
Life is as it should be.
The only thing that can derail this playoff team is a suspension of the Williams Wall.

Wow...in case you missed it folkes...These Minnesota Vikings finally did it! For the first time this year they put a complete game together...Special Teams, Defense and Offense...was a thing of beauty. Folkes no complete game is perfect....but this was as close as the Vikes can get...and it was pretty damn good. Lets give them their due...the Vikings looked good tonight....was impressed. Gus is off the schneid for one week.

Skol Vikings

PS All I want for Christmas is the league to not suspend the Williams Wall.

Childress's legacy will be that he won a few prime time games in his tenure...something that Tice failed to do...actually under Tice's watch we got imbarrased in prime time...remember it vividly.

Perhaps the Vikings should consider keeping the old uniforms for the rest of the year. I suspect the NFL will lay it into the Vikings with the suspensions though, however the NFL should be made to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the Williams tandem "knowingly" abused a banned substance.

Unfortunately, you stated the inevitable-Williams wall being suspended will probably end up being the demise of this year's team. But I am going to enjoy this beating of the Cubs, uhhh Bears for the time being...the only thing that could make this victory more sweet is another lame post from bIg JoHn-the eternal PosterBoard jester.

Great win over a physical Bears team. Frerotte stepped it up...took some pressure off Adrian Peterson.

I find it hard to believe that the Williams wall could be suspended for miss labeled ingredients by Star-Caps. It did look like the Vikings were using Robison, Evans, and others, to give some playing time to the Williams replacements in the D-line.

I think the defensive coaching staff, especially Frasier, have things under control, with or without the "wall". They can do it!

Wow. I can't believe how concerned people are about the possible suspensions. Do you really think the NFL would have waited this long if it was an obvious decision? No way. I think they are stalling, the decision may not come until later, then a lesser penalty (1 or 2 game suspension at the start of next year may be a compromise). The NFL realizes that this situation may open up all kinds of legal arguments (despite what clueless reporters and pundits might say) and ultimately put a lot of their policy in question. Sure, as an employer you can make whatever policies you want, that doesn't assure they are legal or don't unnecessarily impinge on individual rights. Not holding my breath on suspensions.

I'm sorry that the packers lost for they would
have spoil the vikings win today.

I'm sorry the bears lost for they would have taken
first place.

I'm not sorry to see the Vikings go done in flames
these coming games and fall to third place in the
division.

If what Collingsworth said was correct, the list of approved supplements did not contain this starcaps. It could be as cut and dried as that, but all the delay is suspicious.

It is always great to beat da Bears. Big plays by the D in the 2nd half. Goal line stand was awesome. I love Jason Allen's calf-roping sack attack.Let's win the division and then move on to bigger things.

ps I loved seeing the original jerseys tonight.

Man, I was hot after they let Hester score, then Edwards being offsides twice, ruining sacks by the other guys, then Sapp, then the non-call on the late hit on Gus. I thought, here we go again in prime time. But I'll tell you what, I think the defense has taken on the relentless energy of Jared Allen and the offense has taken on some of AD's toughness, because they really stood up and took that game over. Those two guys play 60 minutes and they seem to be rubbing off on the team.

I'm hoping for a "reduced sentence" for the Wall, maybe 1-2 games tops. I guess we'll find out soon.

Two upcoming games should be wins: Detroit, because they're not good, and the Giants, who should have home field and a bye locked up, and aren't playing for 16-0 like the Patsies were last year, so they will play their starters for a half at most. That would get us 9-5, but the other two games are very touch and go.

I'm being cautiously optimistic, because as fans, we've been here before, haven't we???? Skol to Vikings and their fans tonight.

No doubt they weren't on the list. Does your employer give you a list of food supplements you can take? They are all sold over the counter and entirely legal in the US. The fact is that apparently NFL sources were knowledgable of the illegal additives and didn't inform players. There are issues. Just because the NFL says something, doesn't make it law. I guarantee this won't end with undisputed suspensions.

I continually hear comments like the NFL has some ridiculous amount of power beyond the typical employer. It's bullshit, if anything it is the reverse. If a plumber gets suspended of fired over some overly restrictive rule by his employer, at least he has a broad number of options should he decide to find a new job. If I am representing an NFL player, the first thing I do is point out that basically the NFL is a monopoly, and that his employer is infringing on his ability work with these overly intrusive rules (what if I take a multivitamin and it has a restricted substance - is that my frickin fault?).

The lawyers are licking their chops...
