This is not just Funaki's fault. The O-line was horrendous...even worse than against UGA. Imagine this O-line against the Dawgs last year. Colt would have been KO'ed in the first series! Change must begin at the top. We need to fire Ron Lee and Brian Smith. They are just not cutting it. The D did all it could last night and giving up 27 points (most of them based on TO's) is not too shabby.

It's everyone's fault. Fuanki can't make 5 yard passes. They're terrible. The team is lucky that they're defense is decent to avoid huge blowouts. FYI, that screen play that Coach Jones used so effectively two seasons ago DOESN't work anymore. Turn the page, get innovative. I thought you were an effective OC before going to UH.

we need a BIG fullback that loves to punchblock and loves to runover people. The little quick scatbacks we have can only take us so far. Put one of our 240 lb linebackers itching to play back there.

After Fresno and LaTech, everyone jumped on the bandwagon. Lose to Boise State, and everyone jumps off again. That's Hawaii "fans" for you.

I think the sub-title should say " Hawaii Offense is intercepted five times as No. 15 Boise State cruises" -- The QB made some mistakes but many of the 5 were due to strong pressure - lack of blocking from the O-line, bad routes or giving up on the ball by the receivers, etc. etc. It's still the team ..... and Boise did a good job. Still believe that the coaches should rotate in Alexander for a play here and there to change the pace and stretch the defense -- while giving him some quick change experience.

The five passes that were intercepted were terrible passes, that gave the receiver no shot of catching the ball. I don't care how many times you get hit or knocked down, it's your job as a QB to get the ball to your receivers. Funaki is not capable of doing that, pressure or not.

We need a new offense, Ron Lee isn't a good OC. He needs to remember that he's not calling plays for high school any more. Our O-line is horrible, those tackles can't block any speed defensive ends. The WAC has figured out how to beat the run n shoot. Ron Lee needs to go. Hopefully we can get a good OC that has a system that works at the BCS calibur schools, someone like "Norm Chow", good offensive coach and a good QB coach also. "Rolo" had one good season at Hawaii and he's our QB Coach?.. Ron Lee made absolutely no adjustments on offense, even the commentator on ESPN drew up on the chalk board of what Hawaii should try and do, using some motion's or something trying to attack the safties of boise st, but yet he did nothing they stayed in the same formation the majority of the night, trips left, and trips right that's it! Trying to run the slot back option, no wide receiver screens nothing, nothing deep! We need a tight end and full back to run the ball, New Offense that's what we need! Remember Hawaii, the run n shoot only got us 2 Wac titles in 9 years, it doesn't get us to the level of consistency that we need to be like boise st to get our program to the next level, we're just mediocre that's it, I'm tired of it, we need a change fast!! Get Norm Chow!!

no offense...but the offensive coordinator doesn't seem to have a grasp of his personel and their capabilities. they adjusted a little bit so inoke could incorporate a ground game...but other then that...knowing that we have no real offensive weapons...adjustment is needed. its almost like watching high school football play calling. o-line is horrible. blocking by the backs is HORRIBLE. skill players...lack ..SKILLS lol...not only was inoke funaki picked apart, but the whole offense was also. ron lee needs to move w/the times...

and yeah, as far as the interceptions? alot of it was mistake on funaki's part, but the pressure coming from the bsu defense was non-stop any qb playing w/that little protection would be shaken. no matter what level of play. on one play when he was hit and lost his helmet, he looked like he was in pain you could see it written all over his face. i'm sure he's frustrated too but he never points fingers at his line, blockers, or coaches play calling, he takes the fall for the offensive failure.

You mean get Norm Chow for our head coach? Or for our offensive coordinator? If you're talkinga about getting him for the OC job, I HIGHLY DOUBT he would leave his current position in order to be Hawaii's OC. To be Hawaii's head coach - maybe.

Head Coach, he'll bring in a staff that can get us to the level that boise st. is at!

Norm Chow would be worse as a Head Coach. There's a reason he has never been a head coach despite his success and experience.

Watching Funaki was like watching a highschool QB. His passes had zero zip. He would just throw it out there and pray our guy would get it. The pass would just float out there and may the best man get it. Also you would think the coach would have made the change after 3 or maybe the fourth pick, but he waited till he through 5!!! How long should it take before you sit your QB and make him think about his future. The Oline didn`t help much either. I love the warriors and will just have to make due this year. I seen in the good years and the bad years. They come and they go. They`ll be more good years and there will be more bad years. Thats football. It could be worse, you could be a Washington Huskie fan.

Worst as a head coach? look at the players he's coached...Phillip Rivers, Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart...how about the guys that the UH coaching staff help coach?...how many heisman winners?....Norm Chow made 2 heisman winners at the QB position against BCS schools...his system is still at USC and look at USC...norm chow's system will work against WAC teams... The staff that he would bring in will be no comparison to the staff that UH has now...which is high school offensive coordinators, ron lee even said himself, he didn't get them well prepared!...what the hell is up with that!! Get rid of our high school coaching staff and get a real College football coaching staff!! Go warriors!

Don't get me wrong he's a heck of an offensive mind, but he would be a terrible as a Head Coach. Once again, he has never gotten a Head Coaching job with all of the success he has. He has coached Heisman winners, good for him, that doesn't mean he's a good coach. He creates and calls plays that's it. That's the same thing Coach Jones does.
