I guess Strouds bout with an illegal substance isnt so embarassing and doesnt warrant a rant from the owner. Way to take the pressure off your teammate. keep it up jags.

How about firing the players that cause problems? Oh, that's right. It's all about money. Thug city, thug players.

Those individuals that disgrace the uniform should be fired on the spot. No guts management is just as much at fault for not bringing thid to a head sooner!

You would think that a ton of $$, getting to "play" for a living, having everyone cheer your every move at work, everyone asking for your autograph and being the toast of the city would be enough to keep a guy on track, apparently not.

The NFL has to come forward and do something to put this stuff in check. Weaver can bench and fire people, but if the player just gets picked up by another team, what has Weaver accomplished?

Major changes in the Jaguar organization is well
"Past Due". Replacing Del Rio should be the 1at.
He is not and never will be Super Bowl Material.
He does not have the Smarts nor the Discipline
necessary to reach that level. Wayne Weaver is
just prolonging what should be done now. Why??

Hey Wayne what about embarrassing OUR CITY!! Del Rio said on national television he had "very fee rules for his players.." Well DUH and it shows!! I'm guessing his rules are: act any way you want because your a Jag...rules don't apply!! When you do break the "few rules" he has he slaps you on the wrist and sends you out on the field to "make" your big pay checks!! I wish I could "play" a sport...make millions...get special treatment everywhere I go...break all the rules and laws...and still get to call myself a JAG!!! Just goes to show money can't buy class!!!

Tommy and Dixie are idiots and referring solely to one's race in nearly every post is ignorant. I can think of more than a dozen "negros" I'd rather associate myself with than the likes of you two boneheads. Find a different argument and a more intellectual response to the woes of our city. Maybe then you will do something productive and stop wasting bandwidth. Times are changing; this will always be a multi-cultural society; and belive me.. the south will not rise again (it fell in the first place because of short-sighted idiots like you at the helm).

Ditto on that, they might lose an upfront investment but will gain in the long run on a better quality player.

I am sorry that you have to actually rhink to come up with a 12 black fellers that you would rather associate yourself under..sorry I mean with. You saying that you need to think of them shows the world how racially divided your mind is.

Del Rio is the players coach remember...why don't we get a coach that coaches for the fans instead of the players. These guys make money that most of us only dream of and they continue to act like idiots. This is crap and the fans don't deserve a team like this. But the real shame is we have a much better team but Harris and Del Rio can't seem to quit screwing things up.

This is not a racial problem. It is a self-discipline problem. Now that the players have "apologized" (because they HAD to) I suppose everything is just a-ok. I am so tired of the over-privileged acting like they are above the law. Jacksonville has so many other problems to focus on besides a couple of spoiled brat sanctimonious football players---it's ashame that they can't even set an example for the youth that are in dire straits around here. Not only should they be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, so should Del Rio and the Weavers for allowing this rediculous mess to continue. Sure, take away a couple of paychecks. I'm sure it will REALLY sting----you've got 'em shaking in their cleats. Fire them, fire them fire them!!!!!

Perhaps if they were done as other employees of other business's when an employee has a drinking problem. Put him on the unemployment line, let him go to rehab, and them perhaps he will get the help he needs/

Just my thoughts.

I agree. I loved the Jags but my interest and support is losing ground. Sounds like the team is made up of reckless rich people. Bring back the Mark Brunell and Tony Boselli types...young men who our children and community look up to and respect. And to think why tickets are not selling..this does not help.

WooHoo!! you tell'em. I am sick of their posts, too. Dixie Joe writes the same nonsense in every story no matter what its about. Maybe if we all ignore them and not react to them...they'll GO AWAY!!!!

It is amazing how people think the things they do only offend them. This team has struggled for years to receive credit for the efforts of the Jags organization, the fans, the city & even former players who have stayed here to help promote them. It's like 2 steps forward 3 steps back.

Sure wish this team would move and take its jail birds with them. These players are not players I want my kids to idolize.

You people are unbelievable! Yes they made a mistake and should be punished for it. But some of you guys sit here and act like you have never made mistakes! So what they get paid to play football, they are still human like the rest of us. No one is perfect.

To sit here and call them thugs makes me wonder about your logic. Does that mean that everybody that gets popped for dui's are thugs or does that apply just to blacks and Jaguar players? To you people screaming about them being role models, just because a jaguar player gets drunk and decides to drive does that mean your when they are old enough will do it too? If they do thats bad parenting. Its not up to these athletes to teach kids right from wrong.
