Saban made a huge mistake getting rid of Madison. Sam may have lost a step or two but he's still better than anything on the Fins squad.

Madison? He should sign with us for a day, retire a Phin, and return as a secondary coach. He could teach these young pups how to ballhawk (please don't teach them how to tackle). Nonetheless, he was one of our best cover CBs ever. I wish him luck in the future.

Miami is a young team, and will probably get younger this off season. I don't see the current management signing these old 12-year players like Madison, Droughns, or Knight. That's the wrong direction. I see the Dolphins signing 2-4 mid-level free agents to address some needs and depth, and then looking to the draft to fill the big holes like OL, LB, DT, and secondary.

Wholeheartedly agree. He definitely belongs in the Dolphins Ring of Fame, and quite possible the Pro Football HoF. JUst not necessarily in a Dolphins uniform this next season. He's not the player he was 5 years ago, and will probably never play at near Pro-Bowl caliber again.

Let's bring Sam back on a one year minimum contract to have him serve as a veteran back-up. He is one of my favorite Dolphins, I'd love to see him in a Miami uniform one more time.

Ring of Honor? NFL Hall of Fame? Are we talking about Sam Madison? If there's a Hall of Fame category for "Most Penalties Away from the Ball on 3rd and Long that Resulted in an Automatic First Down", then I'm in full agreement.

A category for "Best Dancing During TV Timeouts", I'm all in.

But if it's based on accomplishments, we have to talk dude. Rod Woodson is a Hall of Famer. Darrell Green is a Hall of Famer. Deion Sanders is a Hall of Famer. Sam Madison was a sometimes good player on a defense that was sometimes good. And he was always killing us with stupid penalties. Sorry.

I think for one season or less a couple of years ago. He's not a "former Dolphin" like Jason Taylor, Sam Madison, or Zach Thomas.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aries

Don't get embroiled in a bad-tempered skirmish today, for it might turn into more than that if you aren't careful. Everyone seems to be ratty and argumentative, but once you let the first spat take place it's effectively declaring open season. Even though things seem out-of-joint, keep your lines of communication open.
